About Deborah R. Brooks
I grew up in Maryland and as a child visited the Chesapeake Bay on family outings and with the Girl Scouts. As an adult I lived in Annapolis and spent a lot of time sailing and boating on the Bay. I love a quiet beach to really relax and unwind. My dog likes to accompany me to the beach for swims and long walks looking for sharks teeth and sea glass. I love to cook and have equipped the kitchen with everything I need to prepare great meals for my family and friends.
Deborah R. Brooks purchased this House in 2007
Why Deborah R. Brooks chose Lusby
My parents owned another home in Cove Point Beach in the 1980's and I spent lots of time at the house. I fell in love with the Chesapeake Bay Western Shore. I was delighted to have the opportunity to purchase this home as a vacation home and offer it as a rental for other families to experience life on the Chesapeake Bay. The proximity to my home in Ashburn, VA, allows me to visit there throughout the year to work or relax with friends.
What makes this House unique
The location on the marsh side of Cove Point gives the feel of being secluded in a cabin in the woods. The front screened porch is a great spot for a meal or relaxing with a book in the rocking chairs. A short two blocks away is the private beach where I can let my dog off leash. The walk to the lighthouse and gentle waves of the bay make it ideal for children. The area is so quiet and peaceful, full of relaxing night sounds in the marsh. You will sleep well during your visit!

Wonderful location and home
Deborah was an attentive host and truly thought of everything. Our family had a relaxing vacation and enjoyed all the comforts of home away from home. The house was clean and well stocked with everything from kitchen essentials to paper products and even towels for our dog. The quick walk to the private beach was perfect, and the surrounding area had much to offer.
Loved this house and will go back again
We love return guests!!! Your family is welcome anytime!
This place is a wonderful, relaxing place! Well- described, great location, and the house has perfect amenities! The private beach is the best.
This is our 4th visit. The house is well cared for and always clean. Loved the Solomons Fireworks, found lots of shark's teeth, and sea glass on the beach. Already have the dates on the calendar for next June! Thank you for another great family vacation!
Perfect for our family
We had such a wonderful time this week at Cedar Beach Lodge. Absolutely everything we needed was provided and the house was clean and comfortable. It was so nice to be in a community where we felt our kids were safe to ride their bikes to the beach and loved that we could bring our pups as well. Deborah was always helpful and accommodating. We hope to return next year.
Cedar Beach Lodge was an easy drive from our home in northern Virginia, less than two hours. No-more fighting the traffic and crowds at the Atlantic coast beaches! Loved the private beach and quiet neighborhood. Great restaurants in Solomons. We will be back!
