|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
This spacious single-storey architect villa is sheltered by a 6000 m2 landscaped garden facilitating the movements between four very different rest areas. Cécile opted for a sophisticated decoration with warm colours inside and outside, ultramodern equipment and design pieces. Six large bedrooms with en suite bathroom and private terrace make it possible for a large group to meet while preserving everyone’s privacy. To spend time together, you will find the spacious living room opening on a large terrace pergola. A pool house equipped with a bar and a dining room with an American barbecue is located directly next to the big pool.
“Les Terres de Cécile” is a family company that was founded almost 10 years ago where mother and daughter welcome international travellers all year round.
We rent 5 high standing properties: they are all completely independent and have a big domain and a private swimming pool.

If we had to sum up with two words Cécile’s wishes when she imagined her villas, we would choose well-being and precision. Cécile arranged seven mas (Provencal farmhouses) and Provencal villas with taste, generosity and authenticity. All living areas were thought out, arranged or even restored according to the desires and need of their future tenants. The careful decoration adapted to the style of each property is sufficiently discreet so that everybody can feel at home. The interiors as well as the exteriors of the houses were built so that you can enjoy it in summer. Cécile never hesitates to share good addresses to help people discover her Provence.
Marie Birling purchased this villa in 2006
Cécile decided to live not far from Luberon in Perles-les-Fontaires, the highlight of the Comtat Venaissin, to make her property easily accessible from Avignon. In the Provence of the Popes, with its smell of lavender, truffle and regional wine, she welcomes her guest in typical settings.
Thanks to the geographical situation, family reunions and holidays with friends are now possible while respecting everyone’s privacy.
We take care of everything so that you only have to put your bags down. Bed linen and towels (bathroom and swimming pool) are provided and 6 hours of cleaning during your stay are included: some details that will allow you to spend a relaxed holiday.
In addition to that, we differ individual renting thanks to our completely devoted team who maintains the outside of the house and make sure that the guests enjoy at best the comfort of the villas.
Les Terres de Cécile, far from the idea of an impersonal rental agency, offers a service that will certainly meet the guests’ expectations.
We stayed 2 weeks at this property. It is ideally located to discover many nearby destinations. People are very friendly and accommodating. The house suited our family of 4 couples and a child. Every room having its own bathroom is a plus. We enjoyed the house as well as the pool area. We have stayed in many houses in various countries and this is the first one not to exceed our expectations. There are a few things that need attention.
The pool system does not operate well as the pool was never completely clean. We had to clean the pool to get rid of all the bugs and debris floating on the surface of the water. Lots of needle were at the bottom of the pool as well, and although there was an automatic brush, it was seldom activated and remained in the pool, not moving, for much of the time.
There were so many big aunts in the house and when we complained they sprayed the perimeter of the house with insecticide. We then had to worry about our granddaughter. We went out to buy aunt traps at the grocery store and kept the doors and windows shut.
The kitchen is not as well equipped as you would expect for a house of this caliber. Common utensils like a garlic press...were absent. There is no trace of any food at all, not even salt or pepper. From past experience, we have found some basic herbs/spices are usually provided or left behind by other renters. We had to buy all new oils, balsamic, herbs, spices, soaps... which we left behind. I would hope that these remain for the next renters as well as the garlic press that we bought. It might be better to charge a bit more up front and have some necessities available .
The electricity went out on two occasions both in the middle of the night. There appears to be insufficient voltage capacity and this needs to be addressed.
The owner did not touch base with us to see how we were doing unless I contacted her which I did because of a septic smell that became unbearable. She did send someone over to fix it.
No literature is left behind to assist renters in regards to procedures and many details that the owner informs you when you first arrive. I had to contact her again to find out what to do with the keys upon our leaving. It would have been easier to refer to a list left behind .
The cleaning twice a week for a total of 6 hours by two lovely ladies was much appreciated as was the big basket of local fruit and vegetables supplied by the owner.
I would return to the area, but look at another property.
