More than lives up to its reviews

  • 5 of 5

The reviews for this property are quite rightly fabulous. We loved it and have already booked for next year before leaving, so that should indicate just how much!!

We stay in cottages across UK three times during the year with our two dogs and have been fortunate enough to stay in some wonderful places. Our utopia would be to have this cottage next to a sandy beach and close to a real ale pub but failing that this is still a smashing location with incredible views and lovely secure gardens. Everything you could want has been provided for and is of excellent quality - a real home from home. Beds are really comfortable and we had excellent nights sleep - even through Hurricane Ophelia! Owners are really friendly and helpful but completely unobtrusive, grass was cut, bins collected etc invisably but if you needed anything they just appeared!! Perfect! Wish we could move in!

A very special place

  • 5 of 5

If you really want to get away from it all, this is the place. Very comfortable cottage with everything you might need as well as beautiful gardens and several outside sitting areas. Steps from the Southwest Coastal Path with beautiful sweeping views of the Bristol Channel and cliffs. Absolute quiet except for the buzzing of bees pollinating the purple heather covering the hills. At night one can see the Milky Way and thousands of stars! We stayed 4 nights which simply wasn't long enough.

The cottage is in a remote area so be prepared to drive distances to restaurants, stores, etc. on some very narrow roads. We did get a flat tire the day we were leaving and it wasn't possible to get the rental company to arrive in a timely fashion, but Gordon was nice enough to help us change the tire and we wetecon our way. Thank you Gordon! And thank you, Sarah for a lovely time.

Beautiful holiday cottage in a fantastic, peaceful setting

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful, modern, well-appointed holiday cottage with wonderful views (on a clear day!) across the Bristol Channel to Swansea and Gower. Coastal Path Cottage is in a very peaceful location. Sarah and Gordon were wonderful hosts, making us feel very welcome in an unobtrusive way - there if we needed them, but otherwise left us to enjoy the property and gardens to ourselves. A wide variety of things to do for all ages nearby ranging from walks along the spectacular coastal path, wonderful beaches and the picturesque coastal towns of Ilfracombe and Lynmouth. We had a fabulous stay where we were able to completely unwind - making coming back to work all the harder!
