About Christine Huxtable
We purchased this old family home from my husbands grandfather. We are the second generation now to own this property. The house has been dated to the pre-civil war era. It needed a lot of work both inside and outside. Old houses are a labor of love. My husband and I have LOVED this house, we have taken our time updating it and now feel it is ready for visitors to stay. We look forward to having you visit and stay! We love to get feedback so please feel free to give us your constructive criticism. We are continuing to upgrade and repair the home but want to keep many of the original pre-civil war features. As you walk through the house just think about how old the beautiful floor are! We make our own real Maple syrup from all the sugar maples that you will see around the property in early spring. In early to middle fall we collect the wild apple from around the old farm and we press them make the best apple cider.
Christine Huxtable purchased this House in 2007

Peaceful upstate New York experience
Just an old farm house is exactly what it was. Wonderful, quiet, peaceful and cozy place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We enjoyed all of the beautiful, fall time, mountainous views during the day and the endless bright star filled skies at night. At a very affordable price. The owners where nearby, courteous and responsive. We will look forward to returning.
Thank you for finding us, we are glad the house worked out well for you. We hope you find us again.
Our family had a wonderful stay at the old farm house during our short time there for a family wedding nearby in Cassville. The house was very well appointed and very clean. It had a lot of architectural charm on the inside. Chris was a wonderful host and was very helpful while we stayed there and close by if we needed anything. We had everything that we needed while there and the setting was very relaxing, quiet and beautiful. We definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.
It was so nice speaking with you, thank you for the pointers! We hope you find us again
My family stayed here while my nephew was playing in a baseball tournament in Cooperstown. It was absolutely perfect. The house and property were beautiful. The pictures online don’t do it justice. Easy check-in/checkout. I would definitely stay there again.
Thank you, we hop you find us again
cooperstown youth baseball trip
Chris was awesome due to great pre-trip communication, extra touches when we arrived, and home was as described in the listing. we enjoyed the farmhouse and while we were mostly at baseball so didn’t spend much time at the property there we plenty of extras available for our 3 small kids (fire pit, basketball hoop, fields, etc) that we wished we had time to enjoy.
we would highly recommend this property if you are staying in the area or planning a cooperstown baseball trip for your son.
Great communication right from the start! So glad you and your family enjoyed the house! Please look us up again,
