2 bedroom apartment in good location. 1 bathroom with wc and shower over bath. Bedroom 1 with twin beds. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Living room with sofa bed, armchairs and aircon. Small table and folding chairs. Views to the mountains and Sierra Helada. Free standing fans in bedrooms. On first floor of residential block, conveniently located for local bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Benidorm is easily accessible by bicycle, walking or bus. The apartment can sleep a 5th person on the sofa bed

I have been visiting Spain for many years and now live here for most of the year. I like visiting Albir with its many restaurants catering for diverse tastes, including Spanish, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Argentinian, Indian and loads more. There are some lovely walks in and around Albir and public transport is very good and costs very little!

I think the apartment is very well placed from which to explore Albir and beyond and this has certainly been mirrored in the feedback I have had from visitors and guests.

Albir is a lovely place with lots of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. It is also in easy reach of some of the Costa Blanca's best destinations. Benidorm and Altea are close by and can be reached easily. It is great to cycle to either of these places or catch the local buses. Albir is a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year.

A functional apartment but not a holiday let

It is difficult to review this apartment.

The positives are that the apartment is functional in every way, the kitchen is well appointed with every spatula etc you could possibly need, there is a nice view to the mountains, parking is easy, it is a 10 minute walk to plenty of bars and restaurants and the owner is quick to respond to emails.

The negatives are that it has the feel of being on a council estate with discarded furniture in the car park and leaking sewage. The swimming pool area has been lost to nature. The apartment is also tiny - while it might technically have room for 5 people to sleep it would be very cramped and claustophobic. There also isn't a dining area nor is there any outdoor space to sit in the sun (e.g. balcony) unless the 'council estate' car park takes your fancy.

In my opinion this isn't a 'holiday' let. It isn't somewhere to enjoy spending time but serves as a functioning base in a good location which has everything that is practically needed to live there.
