Two additional bedrooms house lavish twin beds, one with walk-out French doors and year-round ocean views.

Stunning property and very peaceful

  • 5 of 5

From booking to departing this was fantastic. The owners are so helpful, obliging and communicative.

The property is in fantastic condition, it is incredibly peaceful, and the slightest issue was sorted straight away by a wonderful property manager.

5 mins from stores, but you would never know it.

As regulars from the UK to the Keys, this is the best we have experienced by a long way.

We come for offshore fishing but used own boat in evenings, I suggest a shallow draft to get out as channel can be an issue at low tide.

Great fishing for small Barracuda/ Snappers from the dock and some early morning Tarpon.

A Top class property that is simply Stunning !!!

Oceanfront delight

  • 3 of 5

The setting was lovely! Home very nice, but for four couples we felt the living area and kitchen was small. Not enough storage. The 2 masters were fine, but other 2 bedrooms were small and 2 couples had to share small hall bath. I think this home better suits a family with children. We did enjoy our week! Really no negatives to the home, except for the overall space. Appreciate the owners attentiveness!

Fantastic in every respect - Boat Information

  • 5 of 5

I wanted to put comments if you are thinking of bringing a boat. We towed a 20 foot center console with 150HP. We had no trouble getting in or out at low tide even with a full load. There are white polls that mark the route out to deeper water. The tide here only changes about 2 feet, not the 6 feet we were used to. At lowest tide we had 1.5 to 2.0 feet. The bottom is mostly soft so while we kicked up some, we never hit bottom. Stay about 5 feet to the left (coming in) or West of the poles. Follow all the way to the end of the neighbors dock then over to Sunrise dock. After a few runs at low tide we went out and in on a plane with no problem.

The dock is fixed and does not float but with 2 foot tide it was not hard to tie up. There are solid vertical posts the boat will be up against with no bumpers. We strapped orange jackets on the poles and had no issues at all. We got in and out of boat with kids and 60 year olds with no problem.

There is a free public ramp on the right as you come on the Key. No issues putting in or taking out. 2-3 mile run to house. We had to push the trailer under the house, it's almost impossible to back in but that was easy. There is nowhere to park the loaded boat on trailer at the house, or room to turn around at end of road without unhooking and doing by hand. That was not an issue but takes some planning on leaving day.

I would recommend bringing a boat if that is an option, lot's to do including good fishing.

Everything about the house and location was better than expected. We will be back.

This is a beautiful house sitting on a beautifully landscaped waterfront lot!! It far exceeded our expectations. The house itself is wonderfully decorated & absolutely has everything you need. We lived on the front porch and in the pool area. Our 5 yr old caught her first fish right off the dock. The owners were very easy to work with!! Our youngest child was 7 months, up to age 62 & everyone loved it! We all plan to return next year!!!

Our family totally enjoyed our vacation in this Beautiful Home, and Wonderful location...

The owners were so kind, and helpful.

The Children loved the heated pool, and fishing from the dock and enjoying the local iguana's , ,,, some of them even got names. The hammock was a big hit also.

This was a Beautiful home, very comfortable, and plenty of room.

We were able to take some day trips, and it was so nice to come back to this home to enjoy and rest, and loved the views. Sunrise views and the sunset views from the dock..

Thank you Carolyn for allowing us to Totally enjoy your Beautiful home..

Best week of the year

  • 5 of 5

We just booked this house for the third year in a row. We stayed at other houses in the keys before finding this. This house meets our whole wish list. House is wonderful, clean, and Carolyn is great to rent from. The pool, with attached hot tub can't be beat. Ocean view is perfect!

Car: necessary

The temperate Florida Keys provide an atmosphere all their own, with idyllic tropical temperatures, clear, shallow waters and white sandy beaches. Step onto its shores and wrap yourself in its serenity. Steeped in tradition and history, The Keys have provided a rejuvenating retreat for the likes of Ernest Hemingway, who penned his infamous novel A Farewell to Arms while living on the islands, and Tennessee Williams, who purchased a home on its shores.

Marathon, coined the Heart of the Florida Keys, is located at the center of the island chain and connected to the southern islands by the famous Seven Mile Bridge, the longest fragmented bridge in the world built in 1985 adjacent to its original counterpart. The bridge, offering a scenic view of the Atlantic ocean’s sparkling waters, has been featured in several movies including True Lies and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Anglers are drawn to its “longest fishing pier in the world”, where they can catch dolphin fish, yellow tail and barracuda.

With incredibly mild seasons, the Keys rise and fall just 12 to 20 degrees year-round. Residents and visitors enjoy average 70 degrees in January and 80 to 90-degree summer months. Warm tropical showers and thunderstorms roll through the shores between May and October, creating an extraordinarily moody, romantic and dramatic ambiance. The Key’s cobalt-colored waters and coral reefs are a haven for scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking and boating. Sport fishermen flock to its waters, with 10 percent of the world’s salt fish records set just off the shores. Visit the Adelaide Baker historic shipwreck, Telta Shoals and the famous Thunderbolt wreck dive site. Swim with dolphins or indulge in local Eco Tours. The opportunities are limitless. Arts abound at the nearby Tennessee Williams Theater, while The Key West Literary Seminar draws hundreds of new and well-known creative writers each January.
