Destin 2023

The weather was great but had issues with the door locking so we had to prop two chairs against the door at night and someone walked in our room during the day cause we couldn’t secure it. Took 3 days and 5 touch points with the “Southern Team” and pictures provided before they got someone out to make repairs. We came in on Saturday and took til Friday to get the door repaired. Other than that it was great!!!

Great stay

Check in was very easy and when I asked for some information I got response back almost immediately. The condo is overall very nice and well equipped with everything we needed. Great view from the balcony with comfortable high chairs. The king size mattress in master bedroom is very soft and for us that was a bit uncomfortable. Great shower with lots of room. We rented beach chairs and umbrella for the whole week/weekend and the service was great! Highly recommend the area. Nice walk along the beach to The Back Porch restaurant and only 5 minutes to Walmart with car. Lots of restaurants around to choose from. Golf course nearby is a plus! (Indian Bayou Golf Club) Overall a very pleasant stay!

Decorated for a Queen, not a family

A winter vacation to the Gulf Coast may turn out to be colder than expected and very comfortable, homelike furnishings are absolutely necessary. The furniture pictured on VRBO was not what was found on arrival. The ad showed comfortable couches and recliner chairs and 4 swivel rocking sling chairs on the porch. None of the above was found, but a very uncomfortable straight chair and a cheap, not well made, small stressless chair and ottoman instead of a love-seat. Worst of all, the master bed was nearly impossible to sleep on because the sides of the mattress were sagging and the occupants had to work their way to the middle and hope not to roll off. A most uncomfortable bed, with heavy wooden construction that poked out 4 inches past the mattress on both sides, again making entry difficult. The kitchen was well appointed, but no fry pan was unpunished by previous users. The unit being at the end of the building did have 3 unexpected windows with a great view from the 12th floor. Every horizontal surface was covered by fragile, but beautiful shells, glass, and other art ornamentals. If a small child or children were there, there would be mass destruction.
