We loved the house. It was cozy and comfortable, and convenient to town. We found the place clean and tidy. The owner was very responsive to our needs.
We would have appreciated having a washing machine and clothes dryer, but that wasn't a game-stopper since the owner guided us to a laundry on the edge of town. Enroute to the laundry we stumbled upon the most amazing 400 year old inn, Humble Pie, that was open for dinner serving traditional meat pies. Wow!
One suggestion would be to supply more toilet paper. We ran out and had to buy more at the co-op.
Overall, our experience was very positive and we'd return again. Thanks for a great place for our vacation in Whitby!
Well equipped cottage in a lovely location. We stayed over the New Year period and thoroughly enjoyed it. Next to Fortunes Kippers it was ideal for quick access to the beach, the abbey and the shops as well as getting the kippers from next door!
Our stay was great, the house was full of character and so peaceful. Can't find any faults at all, though a vacuum cleaner would have been handy to tidy up .Its just a lovely house and was spotless and would recommend it, also with being on three levels we were not living on top of each other. So sorry to leave, and hopefully will return in the future, thank you for a wonderful stay.
Lovely cottage in a wonderful position, 2 adults and 4 teenagers bedrooms and bathrooms well set up. Slight kipper smell in the middle bathroom but actually having the smoking shed next door added to the charm. We had glorious weather which was a bonus. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
