Great location - and great home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our three daughters (ages 21,19,10) spent four nights in the Chiostro apartment between Christmas and New Years. The location was incredible- just walk out your door and there are coffee shops, grocers, and loads of restaurants. The building felt very safe - you have to get through two sets of doors before you head up to the apartment. There are two bedrooms and two baths downstairs and then a queen bed and bathroom upstairs. Everything worked well in the apartment- it has three full (though rather small baths), plenty of hot water, kitchen with dishwasher, and a strong internet connection. It is a great location because you can get to the top Roman sightseeing attractions quickly (Trevi - 15 minutes, Spanish Steps -20 minutes, Coleseum - 25 minutes, Vatican 25 minutes). But you are also near Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori and Trastevere - all fun areas to explore with great restaurants and shopping. The apartment was a little tricky to find initially- so be sure to coordinate with Alessandra and get detailed directions. She is super helpful and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again in.

Wonderful Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Europe and first time using VRBO. We are a family of 5 with kids aged 17, 15, and 12. This was an superb apartment for our family. Prior to our trip, Alessandra would promptly respond to my many questions regarding the apartment and Rome. Alessandra and Riccardo were present when we arrived from our long nine hour flight and assisted with our luggage. They were gracious and welcoming and even gave us a thoughtful house warming gift.

The apartment was pretty much as advertised with the photos being representative of the place. It was clean, quiet, and safe. Every room was air conditioned and had a strong Wi-Fi connection. Each bedroom was spacious and offered privacy. The bathrooms were smaller by American standards, especially the showers, however the water pressure was excellent and the hot water came quick and would last for each usage. The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect. It is centrally located to the Vatican, Colosseum/Forum, Spanish Steps, and very close to the Pantheon. The neighborhood is close to Piazza Navona, however it is just far enough so that it is quiet at night. There are many excellent shops, restaurants, and a grocery store nearby.

Overall, we absolutely loved the apartment. It was perfect for our family and would highly recommend it to others. It made our vacation in Rome that much better and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Fabulous location!!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 7 stayed here for a week. The location could not have been better! We walked everywhere from here. The apartment has everything one would want in a city like Rome. I will miss my morning walk to the cafe for my morning croissant and coffee. Very secure!! We all enjoyed our stay here, and would do so again. This apartment is in an older location, but has been updated. Very clean and lovely.

Small by American Standards, but Great Location and Very Secure

  • 4 of 5

There are several locking doors at the entry to the building and a great vault door on the apartment. We felt that the apartment was very secure with windows closed when we went out. This is a nice section of central Rome within walking distance from the Vatican and Colosseum, plus there are many shops, cafes, and restaurants in a short distance. Alessandra was magically there to meet us when our cab arrived, and was very helpful in many ways including walking us to the cab stand when it was time to leave.

We had a three bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked well except the Americano drip coffee pot, which took about a half hour to make a pot of coffee. The bedrooms are separated enough to allow for considerable privacy. Each bedroom had a toilet/bidet and small shower, plus there was a washing machine in the upper bedroom. The views from the windows and the breezes (in May) were spectacular. In the evenings, with windows open, you can hear noise from the local cafes which is OK, however there are a lot of noisy birds in that part of town that make loud noises all night long.

Overall, staying at the Chiostro apartment contributed to us enjoying our stay very much.

Incredible family apartment in spectacular location

  • 5 of 5

This apartment lived up to the previous reviews and exceeded our expectations for our first visit to Rome with our 5 boys ranging from 17 to 3. The location is exceptional being just a block from Piazza Navona and a short walk to many other major sites such as the Pantheon, the Vatican and Trevi Fountain. In four days we covered all of the major sites of the city.

The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and clean. Anna is very helpful and was there when we arrived. Anna also arranged for airport pickup which was a great load off my mind.

This is an apartment we would return to without a doubt. Thank you Anna.
