We have gone to extraordinary lengths to think of everything anyone could possibly want for the perfect beach vacation. Your comfort is our most important priority.
THE GOOD: Just got home from staying in this unit for 6 days...There were four of us: 2 adults, 2 teenage girls. The resort itself was wonderful-each and every employee made it a point to speak to you and ask about your day. The one problem we had during our stay was attended to promptly and the maintenance man was very courteous and professional. This condo itself was beautiful. The furnishings were nice and all the kitchen items were upscale (loved all the white dishes!). We all were in awe when we first opened the front door and of course the view was great. The beds were very comfortable and the bath linens were nice and thick. Loved the Tommy Bahama soaps!! THE BAD: With the large terrace came some downfalls: twice when we stepped out on to the terrace, there were 2 instances where someone had dropped/thrown liquids. Of course, there was no way to tell who did it. It was also very "freaky" to our girls that everyone above us could see them on the terrace. They didn't like to stay out very long plus all the cushions were gone except one, so the seating wasn't very comfortable. We had one good day weatherwise for fun in the sun unfortunately, so we laid our towels out to dry for the evening but the next morning we found that someone above had thrown cigarettes down on the terrace. Therefore all our towels had burn holes. The WiFi worked sporatically. Our college freshman was very concerned that she would miss some work, but she didn't miss a thing. The owners directly above us brought their dogs but thankfully it was our last day so the dogs only barked at us for 1/2 a day when we stepped out onto the terrace. The dogs on the floor barked when we left the condo and when we got off the elevator. THE UGLY: There was hair (animal) on the second bedroom's comforter and shams but it wasn't found until the second day, so those items were just put on the floor and all the extra blankets and pillows were then used. Our girls did meet the floor's dogs' owners at the elevator one day and someone made a rude comment of them not living here so they didn't so the have to wait for them to get off first. I realize it was petty but after listening to all the barking, just wanted to annotate that it wasn't appreciated, even if it was true. All in all, we did have a good time. This was our yearly family vacation and we did want to go back to the beach again. We would probably choose the Portofino again, just not this condo, sorry....
Place is fantastic, spacious, accommodating. I would highly recommend this unit, especially because of its balcony. Beds were great, place was clean and well kept.
