Housing projected and built with materials and bioclimatic criteria (energy rating A), for the rigor of the climate of the high Castilian plateau.
Inaugurated in June 2013, in a small quiet village 7 km from Ávila, a World Heritage City, with 58,000 inhabitants, it has all the modern urban services. Equipped with the necessary to spend a quiet vacation. The place is very cool in summer, from the shadow of the porch to its interior (altitude: 1130 m). And in winter, although the place is cold, the house is very warm, it has a thermal insulation increased by 80% compared to what is required by regulations (CTE) and energy rating "A", and integrated heating of pellets makes it very cozy, as well as its structure of laminated wood and OSB board seen.
The house has a small garden at the entrance and a porch with optimal orientation. Living-kitchen-dining room, two double bedrooms and a shower room on the ground floor.
On the upper floor there is a multipurpose room where eight people can do yoga, with a divan that can be made into a double bed, and four individual beds grouped in pairs in the lower part of the attic separated by Japanese panels (it is very nice, gives the feeling of a wooden cabin).
Avila can be walked (just over an hour and a quarter) or by bike on the bike path (something less than half an hour) made on the real Soriana Occidental canyon, which goes through landscapes of berrocals and holm oaks, with the Sierra of Avila and the massif of Gredos in the background.
By the same bike path in the other direction, also away from the circulation of motor vehicles, leads to the nearby town of Miguel Urraca in the vicinity of Campo Azalvaro, a place of great natural value for the large number of birds that can be seen and its very unique landscape.
