|Minimum Stay||6 nights|
Beautiful apartment fully equipped and furnished, 250 meters from the town center and 1 Km. From the beach, in a garden complex.
A living room, a large terrace with mountain views, 2 bedrooms with wardrobes, 1 bathroom and a shower room, fully equipped with all kinds of appliances and kitchen and large garage.
new, very quiet yet very close to the promenade area.
This apartment is fully equipped with everything you need. Great location just 5 minutes from the centre of town and about 10 minutes from the beach. Communication with owner was great leading up to our stay, this broke down a little on the day of our arrival partly due to the language barrier. We where told to ring the owners friend who apparently spoke English, when we where 1 hour away which we did, the friend hung up on us saying he didn't speak any English. After many phone calls between us the owner and his friend we where eventually met after waiting outside for over 2 hours. This is the only reason I am not giving 5 stars. My Spanish should be better and I don't expect people to speak English but to be met over 3 hours after the initial phone call with a travel tired 3 year old wasn't the best start.
The Apartment was exactly as advertised. Very clean, well equipped, spacious, sunshine on the balcony from 1130 to sundown, peaceful and secure. The overall building was well maintained. The location was perfect. Only minutes from restaurants , bars, shops etc. Communication with the owner via e mail was excellent.
Muy bien situado. Cerca del centro (5 minutos caminando), pero en una zona muy tranquila. Perfectame acondicionado y en buen estado de conservación. Dispone de todo lo necesario.
Ribadesella is located on the eastern coast of Asturias, Oviedo 80km and 118km from Santander. It is a beautiful seaside town split in two by the River Sella.
To the east is the oldest part of the city is pedestrianized for greater enjoyment of visitors to the west the long beach of Santa Marina and the residential area of more recent construction is located.
A nice walk to see the city from another perspective is called the "Paseo Crane" which runs along the eastern edge of the estuary. At the end of the ride is Mount Corberu which can climb stairs to the top where the Chapel of the Guide which offers excellent views of the Cantabrian well as Ribadesella, the beach and the high mountains that flank the south.
Every Wednesday since the founding of Ribadesella, in the twelfth century, takes place in the old town market where you can buy from other local artisan food production.
Santa Marina Beach is the city beach of Ribadesella, just over 1km long and perhaps the most popular among visitors as easy Playaacceso and great extension. The beach saves a surprise first-time visitor: dinosaur footprints. At the western end, in the down the cliff, one can see traces of footprints of sauropods. (See coast of dinosaurs)
Eastward two beaches smaller and less accessible (walk) are located, so quieter;
La Atalaya a small cove 100m which is accessed on foot from the eastern margin of the villa.
Arra beach, located in an area of cliffs is a little further east, is formed by boulders, rocks songs and some coarse sand.
To reach the beach Arra has to take the AS-263 from Ribadesella to Llanes, 2km from Ribadesella and after passing the football field to the left a small paved road and a sign indicating beach. Continue along this road about 200 to cross the railroad tracks, at this point there is a fork. The path to the right leads to the recreational area of the Cliffs of Hell.
We take the left and continue another 200m until the end of the road where we park the car. The rest of the way on foot. A port communicating with the coastline is continued walking towards the sea almost cliff-start the stairs that go down to the beach is passed.
To the west is the beach Ribadesella Ribadesella, beach Vega, with nearly 1km and a half long. It has some interesting dunes along with some footprints left millions of years ago dinosaurs that inhabited these lands.
From Ribadesella, to reach the beach Vega, the N-632 towards Colunga (west) is taken. About 6 Km. From Ribadesella there is a detour by the RS-4 road leading to Playa de Vega.
