Loved Haarlem. Convenient to Amsterdam and a great place to visit. Stayed at the two apartments. Both are very good. Canmore, Canada
We stayed for 4 nights for prolonged weekend trip at Kiki´s apartment and we couldnot wish better. Kiki was very kind, answered to all the questions very soon, found all the needed information for us, helpful, we could accommodate even just after our arrival which helped us so much, even it was before lunch. The location of apartment is just perfect, in a nice quiet street, everything in short distance. 2 bikes on our disposal were also perfect. As we were 4 we rented another 2 bikes and made trips to the sea through beautiful country. Haarlem is really an oasis of peace, beautiful. Apartment is in a typical old dutch house, really nice, modern, we had everything that we needed. Even tea, coffee, sugar, cream and other things for our disposal. Thank you Kiki for everything!
Firstly Kiki was so attentive with getting back to us with any questions we may of had about the area and her property! Customer service amazing!! Location..amazing! Apartment so well equipped ! We made our lunches to take on our long bike rides and also a few dinners...great kitchen and nothing I could think of missing from it! Fabulous...little shops to buy everything you might want within moments from the apartment...also with great friendly people!!! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone considering staying at the Tulip Apartments. Thank you so much Kiki for sharing this amazing spot ..we just loved it!
Kiki's two-bedroom apartment was excellent for us. Very roomy, nicely appointed and quite clean and tidy. Having a full kitchen as well as a washing machine was very helpful. Less than ten minute walk from train/bus station. My husband and I made good use of trains and buses to see many places beyond Haarlem, so no car is needed. Lovely, quiet neighborhood with a number of shops including a cheese shop, fruits and vegetable shop, bakery and cafe as well as supermarket among others. Easy 15+ minute walk to center where you find many more shops, restaurants, etc. One of our favorite places to eat was Stempels at Klokhuisplein next to Grote Markt. We were fortunate enough to be in Haarlem for the Flower Festival and arrival of the flower floats parade. Kiki was a wonderful and helpful hostess and her son helped us out too. Everyone we encountered in Haarlem was attentive and always there to help out. We highly recommend the Tulips apartments and spending time visiting Haarlem!
We absolutely loved our stay in Kiki's apartment. The property was extremely clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway (the full kitchen was key).
Location is not far from the train station (then a 15 minute train
ride to Amsterdam) and a 5-10 minute bike ride to the center of town.
Kiki and her sister were wonderful to hosts and were willing to help us in any way they could (without being intrusive). We enjoyed the use of their bicycles as well. We left an expensive electronic device behind by accident and Kiki was gracious enough to mail it to us immediately. Overall, we really enjoyed this apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
The owner was very good at communicating, they greeted us at the property, showed us round and were very friendly, informing us of the local shops and parking. The apartment was very clean and fitted out with modern kitchen and bathroom. It is a located on a quite street a short walk into Haarlem centre and within cycling distance of the seaside and also some swimming lakes. The train station is also a 5 minute walk with access to Amsterdam (20 minutes by train). I would definitely recommend and suited our family with 2 kids perfectly.
A lovely place to stay with lots of features. To the beach or cycling through the dunes. Strolling through the city, which has been chosen to best shopping city of the Netherlands. A beautiful historic centre with the Market with the Bavo, Frans Hals museum, Teylers museum, canals etc. Not to mention many cosy terraces and dining options. Amsterdam is only 15 min by train. For years, Haarlem has been called ' klein Amsterdam ', but nowadays Amsterdam is called ' large Haarlem '
