We are located across the road leading to Carcoforo. By crossing the River Egua after the bridge you will come to a village of 4 home waltz of 1400, with chiesetto 1524. In front of the cabin passes a ski slope to the bottom, and a 30-minute drive there are plants Mera. A 45-minute drive will get you to Alagna where there are plants of the ski circuit of Monte Rosa, which comes in part from the Piedmont and Val d'Aosta for a total of 160 km of slopes. The hut is a nest of fragrant good, with two double bedrooms and two sofa beds in the living room, dining table and kitchenette. From the dining table you can admire, through a large window, the valley and the river below. And in front of the cabin passes the ancient route that traveled the villagers with their flocks. Now it travels to walk to the delightful village of Carcoforo which appeared in the monthly I called the Meridiani Borgo Ideal. Way back in 1440 shepherds they waltz stopped in this lovely place and built with larch logs and stones of the place this gem that we have been lucky enough to find and restore absolute respect of the old but with the comforts of the present. None of its outer perimeter has been touched: the stones and the mighty trunks speak and tell of still life and the history of those ancient shepherds. Entering into the living room illuminated by a large window that creates a continuous contact with the outside world, you can feel the warm and friendly atmosphere of a real nest in the mountains warmed by the ancient fireplace and a cozy stove. On the 1st floor are: living room, kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave and bathroom with shower. A wooden staircase leads to the upper housing, with the logs exposed roof, 2 large bedrooms both with double bed and eventual single bed. The master bedroom has a large window projected, like the one below, in the delightful scenery outside. The floors, like all wood paneling, are larch, while the walls of the living room still preserve testimonies of the ancient stones. On the ground floor are the woodshed and a large wine cellar and is completely independent with separate entrance, a room with two bunk beds and a small bathroom with toilet and sink. The decor is the result of careful research in flea markets and antique shops of the place and the Marche region of origin and residence of the owners, as well as a careful and passionate recovery of the materials present in the old hut. At its foot flows the river Egua alternating delicious solitary beaches to narrow foaming and swirling suitable for both fishing and rafting is ae shoulders stretches a large and dense forest of beech and larch trees that climb up to the tops of the mountains and are home to deer, deer, chamois and deer, which is easy to spot in any season. Also mushroom lovers there may collect fragrant porcini mushrooms. Our cabin also allows you to make climbing and long walks on the trails of the GTA (Great Crossing of the Alps) to enjoy a truly heavenly that will allow a real immersion in which rinfrancarvi completely away from the stress and chaos. The village of Rimasco, 5 km south, is offering lifts to a small ski area and a beautiful retreat with restaurant and bar. There are also mail a church market restaurants and bars.
At the car park that borders with the three cable cars which will carry the packs and expenses directly out of the individual houses, out of the car we see the group of huts of the end '400 of the ancient village lying at the foot of Monte Rosso. They were built by shepherds Walser along the old trail that leads to Carcoforo and that they walked with their herds of oxen, cows, sheep or goats to climb to summer pastures or to descend to the pastures in the valley for the winter months. Our site was favored because it was a pasture full of herbs, fragrant nettle, blueberries, raspberries and rhododendrons. In summer exploding mushrooms and their perfume comes to the parking lot. The stream flows to the side of the paved road and a lovely bridge that crosses it allows us to get to our village named Pe de Rosso, made up only 4 huts Walser end of '400, and enriched with a chiesetto all our dating from the end of the same century. In front of the hut, on the route of the access road to the village of Carcoforo, when the snow freezes also passes the ski slope to the bottom, and form a ring of more than 5 km. Skiing lovers descend to the valley and a 30-minute drive will get you to the ski Mera: wonderful ski resort with modern equipment plant. Continuing, in about 20 minutes by car, you get to the ski Alagna, a beautiful Walser town optimally rearranged and restored to design originjale. Here is a modern cabin starting dell'ovovia
the Supersky MonteRosa, where they begin the installation of the ski circuit of Monte Rosa, Alagna in Piedmont comes up in Val d'Aosta, for a total of 160 km of slopes of varying levels of commitment.
Alagna, waltz town par excellence. Typical houses strictly in style. Varallo, a town of low mountains, with all the services and entertainment. A market on Tuesday that becomes an appointment immancabilke from the ladies but also really like the gentlemen especially because we find all kinds of food specialties typical of those valleys: all kinds of farmaggio valligiano, ravioli stuffed with local meats, game, cheese vegetables or fragrant. Naturally, fish of mountain rivers and fruit of every kind. Going back to our cabin told you cross the bridge, where you can see trout below, prey to the fishermen with permission obtained at the Hotel Alpen Rose Carcoforo, and climbing a series of steps you can easily reach the huts. In front of our two huts we have created a large grassy plain enjoyable to read, sip tea and basking in the sun so it arrives on time, many mornings, even in winter. On one side of the plateau is the culmination of the new electric cable car with which you can get from the car park to all kinds of bags, baskets, wood heavy to carry up the stairs. We also want to point out that near Carcoforo will be made a summer bobsleigh track rail that will surely be a nice attraction, without forgetting that the gates of Rimasco, that is 5 km before our village, part of a ski lift to the slopes of small and medium difficulty, on which beginners and young skiers, accompanied by their mothers, can make a day of snow ristorandosi at the roadhouse present to the chair lift at high altitude. Or, get off, take advantage of the restaurant Al Laghetto, at the artificial lake in the heart of the green zone of the country. If you need any food and not in the country there is the store is always open solving any housing need, the post office and a good butcher. In the valley, a kilometer after our huts, starting behind the village of Carcoforo 5 different paths to walk on the wall behind the amphitheater that marks the beginning of the Monte Rosa massif. You can start at the level of families with children from the path on the right that leads to a waterfall on a small lake from the magic colors to go to a shelter within two hours of quiet path. The second and third route climbs a little harder towards the refuge Boffalora and continues to the top of the mountain with views of Monte Rosa. Another path exceeds the left of the mountains and down to the village of Rima at the bottom of the valley behind. The last route is prepared for rock climbers and reach the GTA, the big tour of the Alps, rising from Liguria and continues on the mountain route to the east. For those who love the mountains here is bread for every taste and for every desire for freedom.
