About the property

Park Cottage & Park House

Park Cottage with beautiful Sea views

From Park Cottage there are magnificent views overlooking the loch to the mountains beyond. It is a traditional two bedroomed croft house refurbished in its original style.

It is enclosed in a large shared lawned garden and peacefully situated two miles outside of Lochcarron where there are excellent general stores restaurants and a pub.

The cottage is ideally situated to explore this part of the highlands with day trips to Plockton where you can take boat trips to see the seals. There is a breathtaking drive over Britain's highest pass to Applecross with its magnificent sandy beaches and Appecross inn with its award winning food. Probably the most photographed castle in the highlands Eilean Donan is beautifully set against the loch.

For wildlife enthusiasts there are pine martins and tawny owls around the cottage. There are otters and dolphins in the loch and eagles around the hills of Applecross.

The local area is a walkers paradise with arguably the best walking in the highlands boasting twenty two Munros.

The house is ideally situated for canoeing and kayaking as there is a slipway at North Strome

There is a nine hole golf course by the side of the loch three miles away and golf clubs are available for hire in the village.

It is a beautiful area for cycling with the clean unpolluted air and very little traffic.

There is fishing on the loch but fishing equipment is not supplied.
