About Vivienne Wells

Peter and Vivienne have three adult children and we have all enjoyed frequent family holidays together. The house has space to accommodate our extended, multi-generational family in comfort and style. We have celebrated Christmas and New Year together as well as many special birthdays and occasions. Peter and Vivienne met in Exeter at university and have a strong love for grew the West Country, open country side and sea. Although we now live in Kent, we spend every available moment and holiday in Manaccan. The house is our main family home and the place where we go back to whenever we can. Peter enjoys painting and the special Cornish air and light is a strong attraction.

Vivienne Wells purchased this house in 2006

Why Vivienne Wells chose Lizard Peninsula

Following numerous family holidays in Cornwall, we decided to purchase our own home in Manaccan in 2006. We love the small village and close proximity to the Helford River where we can walk, sail and enjoy the beautiful views. We have spent many a day walking the local coastal paths and on the beach with our dog, Millie. Manaccan is within easy driving distance of the The Lizard and Kynance Cove, Praa sands, Lands End and Sennen as well as the surfing beaches of the north coast of Cornwall. The variety of the coastline is immense and stunning. No holiday is ever the same!

What makes this house unique

Minster Fields is modern and easy to manage. The three en suite bathrooms make it suitable for use by extended or multiple families and afford privacy and comfort. The large kitchen and excellent cooking facilities mean that cooking and catering are as straightforward and easy as they can be for large numbers. Numerous beautiful rural and coastal walks can be taken directly from the house and it is wonderful to be able to leave the car in the driveway at times.

Met all our needs and more

  • 5 of 5

The property was used by three generations. We all had a super bedroom, and our 12 year old granddaughter was ecstatic at having an en suite to herself. The kitchen was very well equipped, with a huge fridge freezer that was a great help. Table tennis kept everyone amused while waiting for dinner. The only downside was a small garden, but as we were lucky with the weather, the garden was not required very much.

The property is well situated for beaches, National Trust properties, supermarkets, small towns nearby, and a great local pub.

Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in their super home.

Excellent property, that's home from home and brilliant value for money in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We were a large family of 12, celebrating two birthdays and reliving my childhood holidays from time gone by! The details of the property were brilliant, as were the owners pre holiday information. The beds are so comfortable and needed after a long day sightseeing. We all loved the fish and chips from the van that visits the village on a Tuesday and the local pub is a must! The teenagers loved the table tennis and my grandson loved the safe and secluded garden. The home is in a great position for reaching local areas, we would definitely recommend the lizard, st michaels mount and of course lands end. I don't have anything at all negative to say about the property, only thanks to the owners for letting us stay 😀 I'm sorry we didn't get chance to mop before we left 😕 thank you, and hopefully we can do another holiday with you again soon. Jacqui and gang x

Great location, comfortable & well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay.

The house itself is fantastic. It's a comfortable place for a large number of people stay. It has good facilities - plenty of bathrooms, and the kitchen space was well equipped, homely and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the large conservatory that captured the sun for large portions of the day. We loved the attention to detail (there’s even a tide clock so you can time your beach trips!)

The house is in a great location. There’s a lot to do in easy reach. And it’s in a beautiful part of the country. We found there was plenty for kids to do as well, so they were happy and entertained.

Thanks for a fabulous holiday with loads of great memories!
