Naples the view from Vesuvio 1

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,614 sq. ft.
Property type chateau / country house
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

Living room, dining-dining room, kitchen 1 bathroom two bedrooms mezzanine equipped terrace

Pretty house located in a private park near the owners' house. On the ground floor there is a living room with several sofas and a fireplace, a dining room with a dining table and a wood-burning oven, a kitchen and a bathroom.

On the 1st floor there is a mezzanine with a sofa bed and two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds and a sofa bed.

Front of the house there is a terrace from which you enter the garden, pool and tennis court.

Guests can collect tomatoes and other vegetables directly from the vegetable garden. Vesuvius is famous for the quality of its agricultural products

We are a few miles from Pompeii and Naples, and not far from Sorrento.

During the Christmas period you can not miss a trip to S. Gregorio Armeno, in the ancient heart of Naples, to admire the shops that prepare the cribs.

A popular and well-known destination in the Christmas period is Salerno (easily reachable by train) with its famous "designer lights"

We are in the country on the road that reaches the top of Vesuvius, and public transport does not pass as frequently as in the city. For those who prefer not to use the car there is a bus that passes in front of the property every 70 minutes with which you reach the Circumvesuviana train, and by train you get to Naples Pompeii and Sorrento. There are many restaurants easily reachable on foot, but the shops are about 3 km away

We can accommodate guests arriving at the airport or train station, and help them organize the various sightseeing trips.

12th August 2017 - A perfect week in a beautiful setting.

  • 5 of 5

We have just come back from one of the best holidays we have had. This home is set on the edge of Mount Vesuvius looking out to Capri. We did not want the stress of renting a car and driving on the unfamiliar Italian roads. The owner, Enrica and Stefano and family happily drove us to and from the airport as well as to the nearest train station (Circumvesuviana) that takes you to all the top sightseeing destinations. Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples and Sorrento were all easy to get to using this train service. Enrica also drove us to nearby Vesuvius which is well worth the trip with stunning views. The house is beautiful with an amazing pool. We were greeted with a delicious chocolate cake and drinks in the fridge. Their dog Gherrro became part of our family and played happily with us all. The Pizza Restaurant opposite was excellent and very reasonably priced. Thank you Enrica and all your family for your hospitality and kindness, we would definitely love to come back again. Wonderful property with amazing views

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is very picturesque and was prepared and well equipped, for either a stay-at-home holiday, or day trips out and a place to lay your head.

It is set on large grounds, which my daughters loved exploring. The pool was a favourite, as was the tennis courts (and Ghero, our visitor morning or evening).

We managed to travel into Serento, Pompei and Ercolano with ease. As well as take a trip up Vesuvius.

We would most defiantly choose to stay here again, if we visited this part of Italy again.

Grazie mille per l'accoglienza. Spero di Rivederla.

Grazie. The Graham Family

Wonderful home for a base in the Naples area

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Ercolano! The house is lovely and rustic, and feels truly Italian. There is a great patio to enjoy the view of Naples and the coast. It was too cold for the swimming pool, unfortunately.

Enrica was a lovely host, and welcomed us with fresh eggs, tangerines from her trees, and a Nutella cake. She was great to deal with and her English is very good. She helped us with local recommendations, and has touring information available in the house.

One of our best meals in Italy was at the fish restaurant she recommended, La Voce del Mare in Torre del Grecco. We discovered an excellent gelato place close to it, Giuraf (Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 19).

From the property, we drove to a train station for our day in Naples, which was very easy. We spent a day climbing Vesuvius and visiting Pompeii. And a day visiting Capri and the Amalfi coast. The property is a great location for exploring the area.

I would certainly recommend this property!

Ein Ort zum Wiederkommen

  • 5 of 5

Cordiali saluti, Katrin

Nur für Hundeliebhaber

  • 2 of 5

oasis in between the busy suburban Napels area

  • 5 of 5

The house is wonderfully located in a big park. The friendly owners live close, but leave you privacy. From the terraces you have a wonderful view on the Napels bay which is very impressive. All big attractions like Pompei, Hercolaneum the Vesuvius are within a 30 minutes drive. And on returning from the busy sites and cities around full of cars and people you can enjoy the quietness of the house and park. We really enjoyed it staying here for a week.

Car: recommended

We are located on Mount Vesuvius, 300 meters high, in the midst of many trees. We are in the countryside but just outside our gate passes the bus arriving at Circumvesuviana train and the excavations of Herculaneum. Unfortunately not on Saturdays and Sundays and not very often. By train you can easily reach Naples Pompeii and Sorrento. Those arriving by car can reach the motorway in just 4 km. Naples is 13 km away and Pompeii 15 km. You can easily reach Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.

In Sorrento there are ferries to Capri.

The walk on Vesuvius is suggestive! Not only can you see a volcano up close but from the top you can admire a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Naples, including the islands. You can also go horse riding and admire an extraordinary landscape.

In the Gulf of Naples you can make canoe trips that allow you to see the city from the sea.

And then the Royal Palace of Caserta, the Solfatara, the islands of Ischia and Procida ... many things are known and lesser-known sights.
