This charming historic cottage is attached to our home and is our year round guest house. It sits in a quiet cove with access to the 5 larger lakes around it. It is 5 miles to the town of Millinocket and is easy to get to. It's a wonderful place for water activities or just relaxing by the water. It's also a great jumping off point for the Katahdin region including Baxter State Park. We have a paddle boat, two canoes, and two kayaks available. Bird watch, leaf peep, moose watch, white water raft, hike, kayak, swim, fish, x-country ski ,snow shoe, ATV, snowmobile or just relax and enjoy the view. We are close to a network of trails. Just leave the house and hit the trails.

A beautiful lakefront property
We didn't get the chance to meet our hosts as they were away that weekend for their daughter's wedding. But, Faye was kind and able to let us stay at her cottage and one of her neighbors was able to let us in.
We had a lot of space inside and it is a pretty easy drive to get to Katahdin from the cottage which was our primary goal of the trip. We got into the lake which was wonderful and it is great that they have a full kitchen you can use during your stay.
The only negative was that their cottage is next to a train track which does run late at night and in the early hours. I slept through it but my partner was unable to sleep through all of its noise. So if you are a light sleeper, it is something to be aware of.
Overall, we loved our stay and the picturesque beauty of the lakeside property.
We totally enjoyed our stay!
Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful!! We took advantage of the canoes, kayaks and paddleboat! Saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Thank you for everything!
Quiet and comfortable
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Faye and Don's Norcross lake cottage. Faye and Don were welcoming and the cottage had everything we needed and then some. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean and of good quality. Overall, the cottage was very clean, quiet, and had many amenities that aren't always available at rentals.
There was a selection of canoes and we used one to tour the beautiful lake in front of the cottage. We came to the area to fish in Baxter, but actually caught four bass right there at the lake. Faye treated us to some fresh baked cinnamon buns which we enjoyed at breakfast. Don filled us in on the interesting history of the Millinocket and Norcross area, and there was a wonderful array of books on the subject in the cottage.
We would definitely stay there again.
Quiet little place perfect for a group vacation
We stayed here for 2 nights and Don and Faye were great hosts - they made sure our stay was comfortable in their lakeside house. We also used their kayaks and canoe which was nice. Although this place is a few miles away from Baxter state park (if you are visiting that), this is a good place to consider for a short trip. The only annoying thing were the bugs but nothing you can do about it as it's all in the woods. Bug spray helped!
Great property, great people, fantastic Millinocket Marathon and Half! We enjoyed our stay in Millincket immensely! Thank you, Faye and Don!!
Nice lakeside place with great views and exceptional hosts
The property is right on the lake. There are paddle boat and canoe available to use. The owners / hosts Faye and Don are very nice, friendly and took very good care of us. Definitely recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Baxter State Park.
