Top floor apartment with stunning terrace in the house where Puccini was born.
This luxurious, recently restored 2 bedroom apartment has an extraordinary 65 square meter terrace overlooking the magnificent church of San Michele and 360 degree views over the city of Lucca and surrounding hills. It is located on the fourth floor of one of the most important historical buildings in Lucca: the mediaeval house in which Giacomo Puccini was born. The Puccini museum is situated in the same building on the second floor. The light-filled and atmospheric apartment has a very large, comfortable split level sitting room, leading straight onto the terrace. You can either dine al fresco on the terrace or inside in the dining area, adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom and en suite bathroom looks over the piazza Cittadella, with its sculpture of Giacomo Puccini. There is a second double bedroom and separate bathroom.
At your arrival there is an extra fee of € 70 for final cleaning.

This estonishing apartament is special for many reasons: it is located over Puccini 's house, where the Maestro was born and lived, which is now an amazing museum ands its big terrace has a breathless view over the entire town and its hills side.
Wonderful apartment with an amazing rooftop terrace. You definitely need to be comfortable with stairs as you are at the top of the building. The view from the terrace makes it worth the effort though. Location is fantastic too. If arriving by public transportation the bus is more convenient than the train. Everything we needed was provided ...
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the apartment or Carolina's management of it. She arranged for a car to pick us up at Pisa airport and deliver us at the doorstep. She was waiting for us with a stack of information about Lucca and booked a table at a nearby restaurant for us for dinner that night so that we did not have to deal with a decision in the throes of jet-lag. She introduced us to a delightful guide who made our experience memorable and relaxing. She recommended incredible restaurants and local activities and gave us great advice on public transportation to nearby cities and attractions. And, when we stupidly locked ourselves out of the apartment, sent someone with an extra set of keys to rescue us so that we did not miss a flight connection at the Pisa Airport.
We were expecting a third-floor walk up (in American, that's four floors); but it could be taxing for anyone who was not expecting it. The roof terrace is stunning and we spent many happy hours drinking local wine and eating local cheese and bread out there. There is only one reason for me not to recommend this apartment -- so that it's not already booked when we want to return. Thank you Carolina!
We loved our stay at Casa Puccini and are especially grateful to our gracious host Carolina. She helped us out of a potential travel snafu!
We arrived in Lucca late afternoon (in a heat wave) scheduled to stay with a different host at a different apartment, but that experience fell through. It took 2.5 hours to scramble but we found Carolina and the Casa Puccini. Not only was it available, clean, and ready, Carolina dropped what she was doing and was at the apartment to meet us by 6:45pm. She was an angel and totally saved us
Everything happens as it should because we really enjoyed meeting Carolina. She is very charming and goes above and beyond. She greeted us with cold water (it was 95 degrees) and a chilled bottle of white wine. She wrote out restaurants on a map for us. Showed us around the apartment in detail. She checked in on us throughout our three day stay in Lucca and even helped us schedule an early morning taxi when I was having trouble getting that done
Plus we loved the apartment! The rooftop terrace has gorgeous views, to see the angel on top of San Michele took my breath away. The Puccini museum is downstairs, a Puccini statue is just out the front door. All the Puccini love is a uniquely charming twist. One afternoon we were napping and awakened to a gorgeous opera concert in the piazza out front around the Puccini statue
The location was PERFECT! Charming cafes and gelato are out your door. It's an easy walk to the walls and all around the town center.
We were so at home in this apartment. Bright colors, fresh sunlight, great kitchen, excellent bathrooms and showers. And the best part....AC worked fantastically and the master bed was so comfortable!
We loved the apartment, we loved the location, and we love Carolina. We will definitely book this apartment again when we return to Lucca. Brava all around.
