Pebble Beach cottage is a beautiful beach side cottage in bustling Whitstable within a short stroll of the boutique-style shops.
The cottage has three tastefully decorated cosy bedrooms, a lovely lounge with French doors to the balcony, where you can watch the sunset over the beach.
On the ground floor is a very well equipped kitchen diner and a second living room.
There is a patio garden which exits out to the beach wall, where the private parking space can be found.
The property is ideally located, a short walk to the main shops or along the beach to the harbour.
Whitstable itself is a charming seaside town, which you will love exploring, it has numerous boutique shops and many lovely restaurants, pubs and bars.
We fell in love with Whitstable last year, we spent quite a bit of time there with friends and then found our own cottage which we adore, we often use it for weekends but can't be there all the time and hope others enjoy it and what Whitstable has to offer.
Whitstable is a lovely town that we ourselves had not discovered until 2 years ago.
A traditional fishing town, famous for it's oysters, the seaside promenade backed by fishermans huts, beach cottages and restaurants is a great place to be.
We spent quite a lot of time in Whitstable before finding our cottage, a white weather boarded cottage in the perfect location, just behind the sea wall, with sea views and yet still within a couple of minutes of the centre and all its independent stores, everything is a short stroll away.
Adorable, spacious, very well-equipped cottage with a beautiful view of the sea. Super convenient to amenities in the centre. Whitstable is a beautiful little town - funky little cafes and boutiques, excellent restaurants and pubs, vibrant harbourside. Convenient to Canterbury (we took the Triangle bus there; ~20 min journey). The owner, Jake, was very responsive to all of our queries and is such a nice guy. Would rent this cottage again in a heartbeat.
We have friends who live in Whitstable and visit regularly, but this was the first time that we have visited without staying with them and we weren't disappointed! The house is beautiful, clean and was absolutely perfect for our needs. Close to the Old Neptune, tennis courts and the Whitstable Oyster Co it couldn't be better placed for dipping in and out of everything that Whitstable has to offer. Everyone who stayed with us unanimously agreed that it was a great property, spacious, comfortable and well stocked.
Parking is Whitstable is famously difficult and our only negative was that when we arrived there was someone already parked in the private parking space allocated to the property. This meant we were unable to park easily on a busy Friday night when parking was scarce, and that come Saturday morning we were forced to pay for parking until the mystery vehicle disappeared. This is a minor point and the only negative to mention from an otherwise perfect stay.
The home we stayed in was spacy-cosy-bright-clean-well equipped. Its close reach to the beach allows many walks along the beach in any direction in the morning, midday and in the evening. The close reach to the town centre allows easy shopping opportunities: many lovely shops with friendly and helpful staff! Nothing to complain!
Thanks to Jake ...will be back next year this time!
Whitstable is a bustling little gem of a town on the Kent coast. It's famous fishing harbour at one end and the landmark Old Neptune pub at the other border the central beach area. With over 100 bars and restaurants and many boutique shops, it's a great place to explore.
