Leesburg House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

PLEASE NOTE: During the spring/summer season (April - October), the MINIMUM STAY IS 2 NIGHTS!!! During those months, less than a 3 night inquiry will not take priority until 60 days from requested arrival date. Please realize we keep our costs down with longer stays! (See rates for more information.)

Please email before assuming cost; we offer a discount for the 3rd night and 4th night and VRBO cannot calculate that!

This log house was completed in 2005 and when you first walk in, it still smells like the pine wood it was made from. It is located on 15 peaceful, wooded acres, overlooks over 850 acres of additional farm land with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance; the property does border both Hamilton and Leesburg for convenience, each about 5 minutes away.

'Windridge' is furnished with family antiques and artwork but has all the modern conveniences for your complete comfort as well. It has a combined living/dining/kitchen area with a huge fireplace. Off this central area is a separate den and screen porch which both have closing doors for privacy. The master bedroom has a king bed and it's own private bath on the first floor; with all of it's windows it feels like you're in a tree house! There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, one with 2 twins and the other with a queen bed.

This house is located in the country, but Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD are a reasonable day trip from here. Within a shorter drive is the Leesburg Corner Outlet with great, popular discount stores, many historical buildings, Civil War attractions, wineries and many parks are all also very popular year round.

About Kaki P

At some point in our lives we would like to live here year-round, until then, we hope our guests enjoy Windridge as much as we do!

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Our second visit has been as relaxing and refreshing as the first... And, with more days, we had time to do the walking tour of historic Leesburg (so interesting), a leasurely lunch at Magnolia in Purcellville (delicious) and another fabulous dinner at Tuscarora..."

Hamilton Charm

  • 5 of 5

Our family was just looking for a nice house to spend a couple of nights with our son who is through hiking the Appalachian Trail. Windridge was more than perfect. Well equipped kitchen that enabled us to cook up some great meals. Fabulous porch where we ate our meals and listened to tunes looking out over the woods. Space to gather together and also space to spread out. Kaki - thanks for responding to our quick requests. Many thanks.

Owner's Response: So enjoyed having your family at Windridge! Leesburg is where guests usually are attracted, to its history and shops, but you found those lovely characteristics in Hamilton too, along with a couple of fun and different places to eat. We are glad your family liked the log 'cabin' and hope your son's travels along the remaining Appalachian Trail are safe and full of wonderful memories. Thank you again for your business and the "TLC" you showed our house; if you return, you would receive a returning guest discount.

Off the beaten path

To call :Windridge" a log cabin is to call pate "meatloaf". It may look like a log cabin outside, but inside, it is furnished with charm & sophistication. Every bedroom has a bath nearby & the master suite is huge, with a marvelous shower.

You'll feel at home in the living room or full dining room. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. There are porches all around the outside to enjoy. The limited WIFI should only be a hindrance to those who are surgically attached to their electronics.

There is much to see in the area: wineries, farm breweries, good restaurants, historic Oatlands Plantation, charming towns like Leesburg & Middleburg, Leesburg outlets & the beautiful Loudoun hunt country.

We have stayed here at least 3 times & intend to return. If you visit in the fall, you may see deer & wild turkeys in your front yard, eating ripe paw-paws.

You have always been fun guests, truly appreciating adventure and relaxation. Hope you continue your investigations here next year; it's such fun to have repeat guests that explore! Thank you again for the thoughtful review!!

great luxury home base for vineyards

  • 5 of 5

highly recommend, would stay again, excellent communication from owner. Our group of 5 adults stayed for a long weekend and made wind ridge our home base for wine country 1/2 marathon. We all had plenty of room, the well appointed kitchen was great for meal prep; location made the trip in and out of DC easy. Wegmans is nearby and a great supermarket for provisions. The house is better than the pictures can relate, very relaxing secluded woodland setting.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure to have you and your good friends unite from great distances at Windridge. From the beginning, you all were such an easy group to host; you were not offended by the questions I asked, saw the ‘big picture’ for the reasoning behind them and offered detailed information about your desired gathering; you kept in good contact before, during and after your stay; all around a delightful group who treated Windridge as if it was their own. Thank you for your business and if you are ever in the area again, we offer a discount to returning guests!

Owner's Response: As a mother myself, it was lovely to receive your request for a mother-daughter weekend. Then to find out it was 2 sisters and their daughters, coming together from 4 different states, I was enthralled at the determination to keep the tradition going with these endearing relationships. Bravo! I was happy to have you all at Windridge and your attention to it's offerings and conscientiousness were greatly appreciated. Thank you and I hope you have a great time next year, wherever you decide to reconnect!

We had a wonderful stay in this house. We were with 3 couples from the Netherlands. It was an amazing house in a wonderful setting. If we had the opportunity, we certainly would rent this house again.

Our family cannot say enough nice things about this beautiful home and lovely owners . The home was far above our expectations . We can't wait to stay again . I also recommend to visit the winery which is within walking distance and historic Leesburg. The location is great for easy access to everything . We highly recommend this home .
