Nestled right on the border of Normandy and the Pays de la Loire, a converted 100 year old farm building which has been renovated to a high standard and offers superb accommodation for up to 6 guests.
Set in a pretty courtyard at the end of a quiet lane (ideal as a central base for touring) you will find the peace and relaxation you deserve as you enjoy panoramic views over the beautiful surrounding countryside.
There are opportunities for walking, cycling, golf, water and other sports if you feel energetic! Or you can simply watch the varied wildlife around the grounds (including our cats) and enjoy our developing gardens and nature trail. We have a pair of little owls who nest in the gite roof.
Alternatively, you can just sit and read while you sip a glass of wine!
In the small local towns you will find quality butchers and bakers, as well as cider and calvados straight from the farm. Street markets sell fresh fruit and vegetables and of course lovely French cheeses and local restaurants with fixed price menus..
There are pretty villages, historic medieval and Roman towns, castles, chateaux, gardens, museums, cafes and restaurants to choose from, all within easy reach. The D Day landing beaches are a couple of hours away and the magnificent Mont St. Michel is just an hour and a half from us.
The gite is fully equipped for your enjoyment with lounge, modern kitchen and two airy loft bedrooms (double and twin) with views over the surrounding fields. There is a sofa bed for additional space. If you want to keep in touch we have French and English TV and free WiFi connection.
We have a games room with a pool table, dart board, and outdoor games, including boules, badminton and cricket. We have plenty of space for you to run around in our 5 acres of grounds including lawn area, patio for sitting and eating and our new nature trail, making it perfect for children and families.
If you enjoy wildlife we have plenty. Birds, hares, bats, foxes and deer, barn and little owls nesting in the gite roof and hunting in the garden and fields. We are flown over by kestrels and buzzards, while sheep and cows graze just over the fence and butterflies crowd the garden and hedgerows.
Why not come and stay, you will love it!
