About the property

Stunning 1 Bedroom Cottage, Rolltop Bath In The Bedroom & A Walk In Shower Room.

Kirkgate Cottage is a pretty and quirky traditional fisherman's cottage that's been refurbished to create a beautiful, modern home. It's situated in the heart of the village of Pittenweem and a short stroll down through one of the many wynds will take you to the only working harbour in the East Neuk.

Kirkgate is modern and has a real contemporary feel about it blending beautifully with the traditional features of the cottage.

Curl up in one of the snugglers in front of the lovely wood burning stove with a good book, to watch the flat screen 32ins Sony TV with Freeview, one of the many DVD's or just to relax and listen to the iPod through the BOSE docking system.

Free WiFi and use of a Macbook for guests.

If you prefer to stay at home and cook up a storm there's a very well equipped modern kitchen to help you. With everything you'd expect from Le Crueset to Alessi and cookery books to a Panini sandwich grill.

Downstairs, the large bedroom has a solid ash double bed, crisp Egyptian cotton bedding, iPod dock, modern lighting and a wall mounted small TV. The roll top bath in the bedroom is perfect for a relaxing soak after a long walk.

Totally refurbished and ultra modern the shower room is spacious with a walk in shower. There is a selection of Molton Brown gels and lotions for your use.

You can choose from one of the packages of goodies we offer to make your stay more comfortable. From a local produce breakfast hamper, an essential firewood pack or Champagne/wine and nibbles. Please contact us for costs.

Outside to the front of the property, is a small paved area, where you can sit and watch the world go by.

Charges are inclusive of gas, electricity, linen, towels and kitchen & bathroom essentials.

Perfect base for a stay to visit the East Neuk and chill out.

The cottage was immaculate, very comfortable and fully equipped for a lovely relaxing time. I loved the old style bath in the bedroom which was so relaxing after a day out walking the costal paths. The shower room was fabulous with heated flooring, great walk in shower and built in radio system. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could ever need, there is a wee pull out table and chairs which was ideal when we ate at home. Very comfortable bed and living room cuddle chairs. Luckily we had good weather so didn't need the use of the log burner but I'm sure it would be lovely on a colder night. The location for visiting other areas was ideal, easy walk to Anstruther and short drives to Crail, Elie and St Andrews. The cottage is just round from the Main Street which has a decent chip shop and a couple of nice cafes for during the day. Several art galleries also all within couple of minutes walk. There is a pub down at the harbour which did good food and so friendly and everywhere was so dog friendly. We had no bother parking directly outside the cottage and it is a very quiet place for getting a good nights sleep.

The owner was helpful prior to our visit giving advise by email and a lovely touch was a welcome bottle of cava and chocolates for us arriving.

I would definitely recommend this cottage for a couple to stay and it's dog friendly if you have a wee furry family member.

A comfortable, warm and convenient place to stay which is close to the heart of the village.

Everything you need, and more , is found within the cottage for your convenience. A great shower room and a luxurious bath in the bedroom. Great scenery and fabulous walks along the BIG SKY coasts of Fife. Great chippy round the corner from the cottage and also a small cafe providing the best breafast we have had, and served all day. We came in February and the weather was fairly good with only one day of rain. I highly recommend.

Booked cottage as treat for my wife,s Birthday. We had the best time. The cottage was all it was claimed to be and more. Cosy, Romantic and well situated for touring area.

We were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Fizz and Chocolates and the cottage was nice and warm, especially the bathroom with under floor heating. The cottage has many extra touches added, to many to mention, but all done with taste and quality.

We had a super time relaxing and enjoying our extended weekend break. We will certainly book this cottage again.

This lovely cottage was full of character yet totally modernised. Fabulous bath and shower room and modern kitchen with every convenience. The place was immaculately clean everywhere. It even had a welcoming bottle of fizz in the fridge!

Quiet location yet easy access to bus or Fife coastal path.

Would go again in a heartbeat.

A great base for golfing, walking, cycling, exploring the historic sites or just relaxing with a good book.

Several large and unspoilt sandy beaches are within easy reach and the Fife coastal path is virtually on the doorstep.

There's a great selection of restaurants and bars in the area and Anstruther, with its famous fish and chip shop, is only a mile away.

The lovely villages of Elie, Anstruther and Crail that make up the fabulous East Neuk are all on the doorstep and St Andrews which is great for culture, shopping, restaurants and bars is a 15-minute journey away.

The Magical Kingdom has many heritage sites for exploring.
