The best part of our Montana vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This is an incredible place to stay! Firstly, the location is simply perfect - very close to Livingston, at the Northern edge of the Paradise Valley, and *right on the Yellowstone river*. My husband was able to wade out into the river to fly fish. My son and I waded out as well - the river is simply gorgeous. Staying on the train car was such a treat for my dad, who is a life-long train enthusiast, and our young son. It's beautifully appointed. The owners are super friendly. I can't possibly give this a high enough review; I wish I could give 10 stars. We are so lucky to have gotten to stay here, and only wish our stay could have been longer.

What you see is what you get!

What a GREAT experience. The Centennial Inn was just as it was advertised. Rarely the case when it comes to vacation rentals, but this was clearly the exception. Our very own sleeper car with beautiful appointments. And, our private river access with outstanding fishing (many fish caught to be highlighted by a 14" rainbow and a 16" brown). The location couldn't have been more convenient to trips to Livingston and visits to an "oh so beautiful" Paradise Valley. Our 10 day stay was magical in every way.

Absolutely Wonderful!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this incredible place!! The train car had so much attention to detail and was stunning! Our 6 year old son couldn't believe his luck at being able to stay in such a special place. We spent the week seeing all the sights in the area, the favourites being Lewis and Clark Caverns and Yellowstone Park. Coming back to the train at the end of the day was the icing on the cake. Any amenity you need is in the nearby town (Livingston). The sandy beach and warm water was wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone, there's something for any taste.

What a Unique Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. The train car is beautiful inside and we loved all of the details that went into decorating and restoring it. We loved the modern conveniences that came with a very historic structure, such as the A/C, dishwasher, and TV because we felt at home. My husband is a fisherman and he had great luck fishing off your property. What a beautiful location, I spent my time taking pictures and enjoying the peacefullness. A deer even walked through the property while I was outside reading a book on the deck. I would recommend this place to couples and definitely families. This is a place where you can make memories with your kids that will last a lifetime. I also wanted to mention that the owners were very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I promise you, you will not be disappointed in staying at such a unique place!

All Aboard ths Livingston Beauty

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent 5 days aboard this Parlor Car and had a fantastic time. This old train car sits on a beautiful piece of property adjacant to the Yellowstone River and is approximately 2 miles from Livingston. It is also in great proximity to; Bozeman, Yellowstone National Park, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Grizzly Bear Experience, Madison Buffalo Jump, amazing fishing rivers/lakes (check out Daily Lake, which is about 30 minutes away from the train car) and much, much more... The train car has everything you need for your vacation and is tastefully appointed. If you have kids, it's a no brainer. They will have a great time, whether your tromping through the 13 acres on which the train car sits, resting on the deck, or just relaxing inside watching a movie. My family and I strongly recommend this listing.

Centennial Inn

  • 5 of 5

The Centennial Inn was the perfect place to stay. Our reservation process was easy and the description of the train was exactly how it looked when we arrived. The owner and manager were very helpful and professional. The property was beautifully restored, cleaned, and close to different attractions. The beds were very comfortable and the washer/dryer immensely helpful after many of our outings. We saw fawns on the back lawn, fished off the Yellowstone River, and had campfire meals. All these things were so memorable and unattainable in a traditional hotel. We went to Yellowstone, Chico Hot Springs and then up to the Lewis and Clark Caverns. My family enjoyed staying at the Centennial Inn the most. We recommend highly it; worth every penny!R
