Miramar Beach House - Surf, Sand and Casual Comfort
Set sail for a memorable beachside vacation!
Miramar Beach House dates back to the early 1900's. The house was originally a "day shack" for sun worshipping beach goers to take refuge on hot summer days. Today it is a charming family cottage with a great oceanfront location perfect for beach-loving guests.
Entry to the house is on the upper level, where the open-beamed ceilings, skylights and generous windows all focus the eye on the spectacular view of the sand and surf at your feet. The living room furnishings are practical, comfortable and eclectic, featuring a George Smith sofa, Asian-inspired lamps designed by famed interior designer Billy Haines and dining table and chairs that are vintage Knoll from the 1960's. Natural colors of driftwood and sea glass combine with authentic nautical accents to give the home a whimsical seafaring feel.
The kitchen shares the main floor living space and is well equipped with plenty of new granite counters and everything needed for great family meals. With a salon-like feel, the room is open for everyone to enjoy the wonderful views and great conversation as meal-time approaches. A glass railing on the upper deck offers unobstructed views of beach and the ever-changing surf below. The custom built table is an awesome place to perch and enjoy the views from sunrise to sunset.
The lower level rooms were designed to feel like the staterooms on a yacht. The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed with an authentic Mexican tin headboard and linens of all-natural fibers, but the obvious focal point of the room is the blue landscape you see through the French doors to the lower balcony. The music of the surf and the refreshing ocean breezes provide nature's lullaby.
Whether high tide or low tide, winter or summer, there will always be much to do and see on Miramar Beach. Please note that during certain seasons and weather patterns, there is not always sandy beach directly in front of the home. However, you can always take a short walk to find your sunny and sandy place to relax and kick off your shoes, or dress up and enjoy the fine dining and boutiques of Coast Village Road in Montecito. From your front row seat at Miramar Beach House you are sure to enjoy a memorable coastal vacation.

Such a wonderful location and beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay very much! The vistas and soothing sound of the ocean made our time here so peaceful and relaxing.
Learn more about this vacation rental at the manager's website:
The guest book reviews begin and end in 2012-2013. That must have been when the place was newly available and the management company actually cared about it.
It could be so great if only it was maintained well. Unfortunately, the place was just not very clean when we arrived. The outdoor cushions have never been cleaned and there were previous guests hairs in both the bathrooms. There are cobwebs everywhere.
We came here for our anniversary weekend and there was not even a bottle of wine left for us nor any acknowledgment of our anniversary. (paradise retreats was well aware of our celebration)
There were ants in the kitchen, which we expect, but the ant bait had not been replaced in a very only time. The guest info book had some information about some special remote control for the TV but that was no where to be found. The fireplace was completely useless. The ice maker in the freezer has been clogged with hard ice for years. The downstairs shower leaks. The kitchen granite is barely holding together. I could go on and on. Such a shame.
The location is the best thing about this rental. Too bad the care for the house is so lacking.
