Villa, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, private swimming pool, 8-10 people
Cassis has retained its colorful houses nested around its fishing port, lined with sidewalk cafés and restaurants. It sits on the edge of the Calanques National Park, site of exceptional landscapes where pine covered limestone cliffs drop into the blue waters of the Mediterranean. Besides its unique character, largely unspoilt, it is famous for its white an rosé wine from vineyards that roll down from surrounding hills.
The property is a four bedroom two story Mediterranean villa, built on a terraced garden with level access to the top floor from the street. The 1/4 acre garden has a private swimming pool and private pétanque court.
The villa is designed to accomodate 8-10 people, with 1 queen bed, 3 double beds, and one sofa bed. Each floor of about 900 sqft, offers two bedrooms, a bathroom, a separate restroom, a living/dining room connected to an open kitchen. Views from the upper floor balcony is likely the best of all properties in the area. A stairways leads to the garden level, providing a buffer between the two floors, for privacy of guests on either floor. A garden level living room and kitchen open to a large patio with a pergola: Ideal setting for entertaining guests, or enjoying the view, from sunrise to sunset.

Great place and location
We stayed here in the summer of 2007. It was 2 couples with a child each.
Francis was very helpful both in providing great information on the area and in preparing the house for a young toddler. His gardener checked up on us while we were there to provide local help.
The fact that the upstairs and downstairs both had full baths and kitchens seemed to increase the size of the house as it allowed both families to commingle or get our own space at will. There is a very good produce market down the hill and other good markets in town. Lots of vineyards within driving distance. Cassis is known for it's white, but our favorite vineyard was at Domaine Tempier about 45 minutes away as we have been a huge fan of their wine for years.
Though we loved eating in town, we found our best times eating meals on the patio followed by extended petanque matches fueled by the local vin. In town you can get fare ranging from Moules Frites and beer at a cafe to very fancy dinners. All over looking the water.
I would highly recommend it and plan to stay there again.
`Maison rose` has almost 360° panoramic views, is very clean and very well equiped. The pool is gated, which was a safety criterium for us since we stayed there with small children.
The View is even more beautiful than the picture!!
We had a very enjoyable time. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful views.
We had a driver pick us up daily, and absolutely enjoyed the area!
I would highly recommend this house!
Beautiful view, comfortable home, quiet neighborhood.
Spacious home with a great view. The hosts were very helpful and gave good advice about the area. This home isn't walking distance to Cassis and the parking in Cassis in summer is very crowded. However there is a shuttle nearby that runs frequently that will take you to downtown.
Location of our villa is accurately presented in webpage, hence the two mile distance to downtown should not be a surprise. In Cassis, it is next to impossible to have both a fantastic view in a quiet neighbourhood, (which means higher elevation) and be downtown which is sea level and mostly noisy in high season. Guests just need to make a choice !!!
Beautiful & spacious villa with amazing views
A lovely villa in the hills of Cassis with spectacular views over the vineyards and down to the sea. Very spacious living areas spread over 2 floors, with a good-sized pool and two terraces. The property was very clean and well-stocked. The owner met us on arrival and showed us round the property and helped with any queries we had during our stay. I cannot fault the property or the views in any way. The only recommendation I would make is to hire a car if you stay here as the taxi service is quite unpredictable and it is a long walk in to town. The buses run on time and are air-conditioned but they stop by 8:30pm but you still have to walk up some steep hills from the bus stop to the villa. Otherwise I would thoroughly recommend this property and would gladly return for another visit.
Cassis is a beautiful town to visit, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The boat trip around the Calanques was worth it, and I would also recommend kayaking round the Calanques as well. We hoped to visit a vineyard but ran out of time unfortunately. The beaches are pebbly but worth a paddle. Our favourite restaurant was right on the beach, with gorgeous views, friendly staff and lovely food. I was very sad to leave and will return one day; just with a car this time!
We united as a family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breathtaking view, clean, spacious... minutes from fresh pastry shops, vegetable stands and amenities. A walk or short drive to the bottom of the hill will find you a quick & easy shuttle to the beach. Our family was 4 adults, 2 grandparents and 3 grandchildren aged 5-14. We loved the pool fun and bocce ball pit. Home is also equipped with WiFi... a super bonus. Enjoy your stay!
