Excellent view all the time. Condo was 100% clean and most of the basic amenities were provided (such as toilet paper, trash bags, beach towels, dishwasher soap), which was greatly appreciated. The pool was very nice with grills, etc. my family of 6 loved our experience at Mahana resort. I would rent this place again without hesitation!
Place was fantastic. Great view of the water. Everything we needed and more. Thanks for making our Maui trip memerable.
We stayed at this beautiful condo for 10 days and to quote my daughter, "heaven on earth." My daughter's dream was to run the Maui Marathon to celebrate her 50th birthday. We made the dream come true by taking her and our son-in-law to Maui. The apartment was beautiful and so well kept. It was equipped with everything you might need. The bonus of Mahana is it is located as close to the water as any resort or property around and the views are spectacular. Within a block or two walk there are restaurants and groceries and fun shopping. No need to get in a car every day. Sue was very helpful from the start to answer questions and make you feel comfortable renting from her. We have used VRBO many times over the years and this property was by far the best. We hope to be back again!!

thanks sue. we had a great time at the condo. it was neat to look out at the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other side. very neat and clean and quiet with the sound of the ocean. could have had more sunshine but the condo made it better to just be inside for a couple of days. I hope we get to stay again sometime. sandy and bob/idaho
My four grown children and I love, love, loved our stay at this beautiful condo. It was so convenient to get to everything - very close by all the main sites we wanted to see. Before our trip we did a lot of research to decide between West or South Maui and we are SO glad we chose West. We did drive South to check things out, but the vast majority of the things we enjoyed on Maui were in the West area, so this location was just perfect as a home base.
Sue did such a great job of explaining details in advance and with notes at the condo, so we felt right at home and everything ran very smoothly in terms of getting in and out, parking, working things at the condo, etc., There is a grocery store right across the street and Pizza Paradiso was a family favorite due to its convenience and later hours...it is not just a pizza place - they have Greek and Mediterranean food in addition to Italian, and gelato and more. Our favorite snorkeling spot was Kapalua Bay - it was very closeby and we saw lots of sea turtles there. Another fav was hiking in the Iao Valley.
The VIEWS from Mahana 1009 are INCREDIBLE!!! My favorite time each day was breakfast on the lanai watching the water. Pictures don't even fully do it justice. It just has the very best views I can imagine having in Maui. The property itself is very nice, too.
We went earlier this month - August - and it did get warm...we couldn't always get the temp in the condo down as much as we'd like during the heat of the day. I am sure that has to do with all the windows, even with the shades, and is probably only really a concern during the hottest part of the summer. The overhead ceiling fans definitely helped. That was only an issue in the main living room area and only a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience. We weren't there much during the heat of the day anyhow, since we were out and about enjoying Maui, so that really did not impact our trip at all and I would go back in a HEARTBEAT!!! I hope that I can someday. I'd love to go back during whale watching season.
I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great place to stay with a group of 4 or more because it has plenty of room to spread out - 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a large living room and dining area, plus the lanai. It was really just perfect for our party of 5. I feel very fortunate that we were able to stay there - so much more fun for a family than a hotel-style experience. Thank you Sue!!
The Mahana is direct oceanfront, offering breathtaking views up and down uncrowded North Ka'anapali Beach in West Maui and across the gorgeous Pacific to the islands of Lanai and Molokai. The weather systems over the two islands create amazing sunsets you can enjoy from your lanai each evening. You will revel in the quiet luxury of the Mahana and yet still appreciate its proximity to restaurants, shops, and activities. You are just two miles from Whalers Village and four miles from Lahaina where you can shop, enjoy meals at first-class restaurants, or just go out for a night on the town.
For those who love to walk along the beach, the Mahana is perfect. You have the choice of walking about two miles to the Sheraton at Black Rock either along the beach or on the boardwalk. You can then continue your walk to Whaler's Village and then on to the Hyatt at the far end of the boardwalk. Along the way, you will pass wonderful oceanfront restaurants including world-famous Duke's and also Castaway's. Walking from the Mahana in the other direction, north, you have two oceanfront cafes within five minutes, one at the Ka'anapali Beach Club and also at Ka'anapali Shores.
There is great snorkeling right in front of the resort, plus an oceanfront pool, hot tub, shuffleboard court, and bbq grills that are cleaned daily.
The Mahana has four championship golf courses nearby and easy access to the Challenge at Manele on the island of Lanai from the Lahaina Pier via the Expeditions ferry.
Your Mahana unit blends seclusion with the convenience of being right across the street from the best grocery store in the area, Times Market, a snorkel shop, delicatessen, Mexican Restaurant, real estate office, coffee shop, "make-your-own-pancakes" restaurant, therapeutic massage, fish market, sub shop, Italian restaurant, fishing and tackle shop, and many more.
