We have been fortunate enough to enjoy a week at Puu Poa 412 and it was a most amazing experience. This was our 20th Anniversary trip and we wanted something EXTRA SPECIAL.... The Goodes have done a great job providing their guests with every luxury and convenience. The North Shore was where we spent the majority of our time and we fell in love with the little town of Hanalei. We lunched at the Dolphin one afternoon and watched the kayakers/paddle boarders go down the river. Had cocktails at the Kalypso one day and also the Hanalei Café. Both very nice & friendly. We especially enjoyed the Limahuli Botanical Gardens since we love to garden in Salt Lake City. Enjoyed the catamaran tour of the Napali Coast and guided waterfall hike with Princeville Ranch Adventures. The beaches were spectacular --- our favorite snorkeling was actually right here at Hideaways Beach ! We tried Tunnels Beach one afternoon, but we both agreed our Hideaways had the best fish ! The binoculars provided in 412 allowed us to watch two seals eating breakfast below the kitchen windows. The appliances/sound system worked great. A vacation we will NEVER forget. It was simply "the best" !

Beautiful stay at Pua Poa 412.

Incredible views from the Lanais- so many rainbows!!! We enjoyed the bbq and well-equipped kitchen. I know we are spoiled, but having air conditioning was amazing! Although it rained quite a bit each day, we had such fun-- Walking distance to the St Regis. The Hideaways Beach was beautiful but extra scary descent with all the rain. But there were plenty of other great beaches to enjoy. RIchard is an amazing host who gave us lots of ideas for places to eat and play. Thanks for a memorable trip- we will be back!

Spectacular Setting

Very comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bath unit in the top notch community of Princeville on the north shore of Kauai. Spectacular oceanfront views of Bali Hai, mountains and ocean! Owners Dick and Eleanor Goode could not have been more accommodating and helpful for months leading up to and throughout our 6-day stay...every detail was accounted for from kitchen appliances to snorkel equipment to high tech entertainment systems. My wife and I and our 3 kids made lifelong memories during our stay. Easy close access to wonderful hiking, beaches and the beautiful town of Hanalei for shopping and dining as well as the 5-star St. Regis Hotel right next door. Highly recommended!

What an amazing place!

We stayed at Richard and Eleanor’s place at the end of March and had an absolutely amazing time! From the moment of booking they were very personable and provided all the information we needed to enjoy our stay on Kauai.

The place itself is, in one word, perfect. The views are unbeatable (sunsets from the lanai are unforgettable) and the space is exquisitely designed and organized to exceed all of your expectations. Not to mention that it’s clean, well maintained, and in a gorgeous location in Princeville with a short walk to Hideaways Beach below. It felt like a home away from home!

Richard and Eleanor provided thorough instructions on how to operate everything in the unit and were very quick to respond to any inquiries we had. These owners go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, and this is one of the many reasons we can’t wait to return to unit 412 at Puu Poa!

PP412 is the tops!

Top notch, top quality, top level, top of the world! This was our 6th visit to PP412 and every time has been better than the last. The Goodes continue to make improvements (although it's pretty hard to improve on perfection!) that make this our favorite place to stay on vacation. This was our first experience with VRBO and it was wonderful thanks to Dick and Eleanor Goode. They provided all the information needed to make full use of their home and the surrounding area with maps wonderful suggestions of where to shop/eat/visit/etc.

One major issue is that once inside the home you do not want to leave. The views of Bali Hai and Hanalei Bay are to die for. Sunsets are amazing. The trade winds were favorable and never needed the air conditioning which allowed us to listen to the ocean at night. It was great to watch the movies filmed in the area especially during the rain. We enjoy the rain and loved watching and listening to it.

Their home is set up so you will not have any need for anything else. If any questions the information is provided inside the home for everything (lighting/Air conditioning/all TV's/Kitchen Equipment/etc).

Dick and Eleanor spent a lot of time preparing local information and information about their home and present it in a very professional way.

I would highly recommend this property and look forward to the time we will be able to return.
