***PRIOR TO RENTING, PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION AND VIEW ALL PHOTOS AND DESCRIPTIONS FIRST***. Everything is explained on the webpage and I will be happy to answer any questions.

Truly in the 'Heart' of Historic Downtown Wilmington. The Loft offers you the chance to spend a long weekend or week getaway to experience all that Wilmington has to offer! The unit is located on Water St. basically at the intersection of Water and Orange St. (215 S. Water St.)

The unit is a Studio Loft located on the ground floor facing the courtyard that has a queen size bed and also has a queen size sleeper sofa that will sleep 2 people if you do not want to sleep in the lofted sleeping space. There is a large closet in the unit as well as a large size bathroom that includes a washer and dryer to use at your convenience. There is an additional chest in the bathroom to store your personal items. The kitchen area has a stove/oven, refrigerator, and utensils.

We keep it stocked with everything you could possibly need including wireless internet and a grinder for your coffee. If there is something that you want, let us know and we will consider adding it to the Loft.

Security Deposit: Will be refunded 14 days after departure automatically from HomeAway, unless there is a need to retain some of the deposit which you will be notified of.

Parking information: We rent a parking space near the building that is located at 115 S. Front St. It is an unassigned spot were we provide you with a parking hang tag. The parking spot is located .1 miles from the unit and takes about 2 minutes to walk there. If you would like to see the distance I recommend using Google maps to see an exact route. Unit address-215 S. Water St. - 115 S. Front St. is the parking lot.


Farmer's Market: The Riverfront Farmers' Market is located on N. Water Street in Historic Downtown Wilmington along the Scenic Cape Fear River. Open Saturday's, starting in April thru December 8:00am to 12:30pm. The Loft is about 1 minute walking distance from the Farmer's Market.

Visitors Booth: Don't forget to stop by the visitor's booth located at Water and Market St. (same area where the Farmer's Market is). They have a ton of tour information as well as dining information

My husband and I would often take long weekends visiting the beach during the day and go into Historic Downtown Wilmington for the evening. We love the charm Downtown has to offer and all the fantastic places to eat. When we found this unit, we knew it was perfect for us and also decided to rent it out and use it for us and our family.

Why Jaime or Tim chose Historic District

We felt this unit was one of the best locations located in Historic Downtown being on the river and having the ability to walk to everything! There is always something going on. I love walking the Farmers Market and it goes on almost year round. We take very good care of our unit and have been very lucky to have had such great renters. We make sure to keep the unit comfortable for people when they rent with us by putting higher end linens, towels and tasteful furnishings. We wanted it to be a place we could enjoy and for others that stay with us too. We love to get feedback on the unit and always hope that everyone enjoys their stay with us!

What makes this condo unique

Location, location, location! You step outside your door and you are in the middle of it all: the board walk, cafe's, restaurants, art galleries, local history and relaxation. We love getting up early, grabbing a cup of coffee and walking up and down the boardwalk.

The building is located at 215 S. Water St. and steps away from Elijah's, The George, Art Galleries, Boutiques and Chandler's Wharf. The unit is a gated complex with many options to park near by and I also pay for an unassigned parking spot at 115 S. Front St. for renters to park upon arrival. The unit is about 15 minutes from Wrightsville Beach and about 25 minutes from Carolina Beach. You also have the option to take a ferry over to Bald Head Island from SouthPort or go deep sea fishing at Carolina Beach.

Did you know that Wilmington is considered the Hollywood of the East! If you have time, make sure to tour Screen Gems Studios. In Downtown Wilmington there are many things to do, carriage rides, museums, ferry rides, fine dining and plenty of night life. Enjoy your day at the beach, come back and refresh so you can walk throughout Downtown Wilmington.

  • Bedroom is located up in the lofted area. Please be aware of the stairs and lofted sleeping space. They are photographed in the photos as best as I could. The lofted sleeping space height is about 5ft in and there are built stairs to access the sleeping area. This unit is not suited for children or elderly people. Anyone who has trouble with stairs will not find this unit comfortable for them. The sofa is also a sleeper sofa for those not interested in sleeping in the lofted sleeping space.

You can not get a better location than the Loft on Water Street! The Loft is furnished with high quality bath towels and basic soaps. We provide fine bed linens along with extra pillows and high quality coverlet's to use for your convenience. If you would like to go to the beach, we provide 2 beach towels and 2 beach chairs. **I ask if you use any of our items such as beach chairs, etc and they break during your stay I ask that you please replace during your visit. I keep these items in the unit for convenience and can't replace after each use. Thank you for your understanding. If we do not have anything that you would want, let us know and we will consider adding it to the LOFT!

Cute, clean, but confusing

The flat was small, but nice. What you don't know up front is that you have to park a block away. The apartment is hard to find since it's behind a row of storefronts (there is no street view like the picture shown). It's an older building, so full of creaks. But the owners have decorated and furnished it nicely, and it was very clean. Just lacking some flavor for the price.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry you felt then unit was confusing, but I did want to take the time to address some of your comments as we try to provide each and every renter with a great experience when visiting Historic Downtown Wilmington. We also do our very best to photograph and describe the unit to give travelers who are not familiar with the Historic section what to expect. Since we are located in the Historic section of Downtown Wilmington on Water St., parking is run by the city. With regards to parking, all the buildings up and down Water St. are either Condos or Town homes. None of which has a parking garage associated to their building. There is public parking where people can pay hourly to park all up and down Water St. with plenty of options for paying customers. With that being said, we recently purchased a spot at a near by lot so renters do not have to pay any additional money when they arrive. This was new starting October 1, 2017. Prior to that, all renters had to pay for parking themselves upon arrival. I was only given so many lots to choose from where I could rent a space from and I choose the closest parking lot. We wanted renters to not have to pay any additional money on their vacation, but if any renter would like to park closer certainly can do so if they prefer. I did put the address on my webpage so the lot and address was listed prior to renting. I appreciate your feedback, and I did add that the parking spot distance to the unit is .1 miles from the unit and takes about 2 minutes to walk to from our building per Google Maps. This can be done by using the building address 215 S. Water St. and 115 S. Front St. (parking lot). I did photograph the entire building to try to make it easier to locate upon arrival and there are descriptions associated with each photo explaining each. There is a photo showing the outside of the building and a photo showing our unit and the gated courtyard so I am sorry you were confused by that. In the description on my webpage the first sentence states that our unit is a first floor unit facing the gated courtyard. We strive to provide the best experience possible and thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

The condo was perfect for our stay in Wilmington. The location is right on the waterfront and easy to walk places. The only downside was you have to be careful not to hit your head in the loft. Everything else was very clean and comfortable!
