This home, 'Promise Kept' features a professionally manicured, level, half acre lot that is perfect for games of volleyball, kickball, frisbee, etc. Our kids (and their cousins) have grown up spending summers at the lake swimming, exploring the shoreline for shells & arrowheads, snorkeling (yes, snorkeling) and fishing.

We've spent many relaxing evenings on the deck with friends and family taking in the amazing view and enjoying a bottle of fine wine from one of the many local wineries - and invite you to do the same!
Also, this is ***THE PERFECT*** home base for your wine tasting excursion - as we are located directly on the famed Seneca Lake Wine Trail in the exact middle of Seneca Lake along the western shoreline.

The Finger Lakes are one of the last 'undiscovered' great vacation destinations that I know of. The wineries and the outdoor activities available are without comparison on the east coast and offer a very unique combination of things to do. We chose to purchase this particular home mainly because of the size and configuration of the lot and the beach (1/2 acre, level yard with easy access to the beach and a great area for swimming), the views and the layout of the house - which is VERY open due to the great room and the wall of windows facing the water. You really feel like the lake is a part of the house because of how the home is sited and because of the wall of windows and the wraparound deck. We simply did not see any other home that was comparable.
great location with an awesome view of the Lake. The open living, dining and kitchen was great for our group. The hot tub was full of leaves and not inviting. Make sure to bring extra blankets as there is not one extra if you get a little chilly. Overall great place for the money.
What a disappointment. I felt like we were duped by photos and descriptions. After not being able to rent a BEAUTIFUL, IMMACULATE house we previously rented on Seneca last year, we were forced to look for a different house. This one peaked our interest because of location and hot tub. Well, where should I start.. Home was extremely outdated, furniture was really worn out, beds were hard and mine squeezed every time I turned over. If you had to sleep in the basement during cool weather forget about it: the furnace was really loud and turned on and off all night long. The bathrooms were dirty, towels were Walmart quality washed 1,000 times, and they only gave you a thin sheet and thin quilt on the beds. Not one extra blanket in the whole place. There was a dirty tissue under my bed, and a few of the lamps didn't work. Oh! The best was the hot tub was not working when we arrived. The owner did get someone to come out the NEXT day, but even the repair guy said it was complete crap. He got it to heat up, but no jets. Plus it was filthy. We complained to the owner and he said we should of called him..really? Since when should you have to call AFTER you've arrived to have the house cleaned?? Last I checked everything should be cleaned before guest arrive. So long story, but NO I would not recommend this place (especially for the $$) unless you have really low expectations of what a rental property should be.
The only thing this place has going for it is location to several wineries/breweries. We booked this property because of the hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub was not in working condition, it wouldn't heat up and the jets weren't working. The cover was broke, and the inside was dirty. After calling the owner a maintenance guy game out on Saturday. His comment was...this really needs to be replaced. He did repair it enough to get the water up to temperature but upon entering the hot tub most of the jet pieces were floating on top and not generating any jet flow. The owner needs to have someone checking on his cleaning service. Overhead fans looked like they hadn't been dusted in months. The downstairs bathroom had pealing wallpaper and moldy ceiling. The kitchen table has seating for 6 with 4 extra odd chairs. So don't expect to sit down with more than 6 people for a comfortable dinner. If you are sleeping in the 2 downstairs bedrooms, expect the furnace to keep waking you up, especially the bedroom with the lever doors. I'm really not a picky person but when you are spending that kind of money you expect more. We've rented other winery weekend properties that were above and beyond this place for less money. Unfortunately owner indicated he would be refunding us one nights stay for the issues but we haven't receive a dime.
Speaches, clean, welcomeing vacation home for the whole family to enjoy with the view to die for. Owner is very easy to work with and willing to accommodate.
The house had a lot of extras not specified in agreement. We were
Pleased to find a closet full of baby items that we were able to use for our one year old. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time. The view was outstanding from the front of the house. We had plenty of room to spread out with room to spare (3 couples). We plan on making this an annual trek and this is the house where we will be staying.
After many years of renting a house on Lake George, we decided to try a new lake out for our family vacation. This house was everything we were looking for. Enough bedrooms to fit everyone comfortably (6 adults, 2 children, 1 little dog) . Lots of living/ hanging out space all open to the kitchen/ dining room. The 3 1/2 baths allowed everyone to stake claims on a bathroom and not have to fight to find an available toilet or shower. We ate outside on the deck every night. The downstairs living area was such a nice bonus for the kids. They set up their toys and we didn't have to worry about cleaning up after them every moment because it was their space to hang out and have fun. We went 4th of July week and expected to watch fireworks on the north end of the lake. Not needed. The neighbor was setting off some colorful fireworks as it got dark and then the group who owns the property across the street had a wonderful fireworks display that we were able to watch from the front lawn. I am not a big fan of fireworks and I don't usually go out of my way to watch them but this was the best display I have every seen. All of the excitement was right overhead and we didn't have to worry about fighting traffic to get to see them. What a great experience. We had Great Grandma with us (96 yrs old and going strong) and the house was comfortable for her with only a few set of stairs to get to the first floor living area. One thing that surprised us was the lack of any boat traffic on the lake. Here it was the week leading up to the 4th of July and we barely saw any boat traffic. Even going out on the 4th weekend barely saw an uptick in boating activity. We are so used to Lake George where it is busy all summer long that we couldn't understand were all the boats were hiding. The water was also a bit rougher than LG but we had fun boating everyday. Thanks to Todd for letting us use his house for a fun filled family vacation.
