The Owner purchased this house in 2005
We bought this property because of the amazing views and close proximity to the resort. Our house needed a lot of renovation when we bought it, but we have enjoyed redoing the entire place!
The View is Absolutely Breathtaking!!! The house is comfortable and welcoming, a great place to get away and enjoy yourself!!
Great house! Incredible views of the mountains and valley below. Our families had a incredible time.
We were traveling with 5 adults and 8 children. There was plentry of room in this home for all of us. We loved the spacious well appointed kitchen. We used the fireplace the entire weeked and there was plenty of firewood available for us. The house has the most gorgeous views of any home we have rented thus far in Wintergreen. The ywo level deck was amazing. The house was very close to great hikes. We would definitely stay here again.
Very much enjoyed staying at this property. If there is rain/fog, it is hard to see much but when the skies clear you are treated to breathtaking views. House was well maintained with well stocked kitchen. Really enjoyed getting to use the wood burning fireplace! Staff were accessible for all questions and booking process was easy. Would stay again.
We had a large group of 14 stay at this property and I must say it was an amazing experience from arrival to departure! The house looked exactly the way it did from online photos. It was everything we hoped for. There was enough space for entertaining, dining, and for parking 5 cars. We loved it and hope to return and stay again! I highly recommend this place.
We enjoyed our stay very much! The large deck and wonderful views were great for our group of 8 to relax and enjoy the scenery. The house had everything we needed for our stay. It was really nice to be on the resort property with restaurants and a gas station very close! We were there to ride our motorcycles on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. Access to these is just minutes away so this was a perfect location for us. There was plenty of parking for our vehicles and motorcycles. With 5 bedrooms and 8 people we could have used 1 more bathroom - there are 2 in the house.
This house is ideal for family gatherings. Each of three generations that stayed in it the last 11 days of July found something to do. The elders read, walked and took in the view of the mountains and valley below. The middle generation found were either taking the young ones to a variety of activities from swimming pool to "candy bingo" that's a Monday night feature. Our group went to Appomattox to learn more about the Civil War. One can also visit many interesting places to visit nearby.
A large group of us stayed here last weekend and it was wonderful! The views of the valley and rolling hills/mountains off of the back deck are breathtaking. The house has been very well maintained and cleaned and we all found it very comfortable. There is central AC (which is nice for those hot days) and otherwise the cool mountain air and floor fans worked perfectly. I also kind of wish it had been colder so we could have used the fireplace.
There is plenty of seating for big groups, even around the tv...and the kitchen worked out just fine (I had never cooked on electric before)! There are a lot of wineries in the very near vicinity (the purpose of our trip) and a couple of food shops, but you'll want to bring most of your food with you from your local grocery store as it gets expensive out there.
