This property is located as far as one can drive to the southern most point of the Cape Cod Canal, on the Cape side. After you go over the bridge you have a series of lefts and rights, snaking you into a hidden treasure, You may not want to leave with the resort type back yard.Stay on site or take a day trip to Marthas Vineyard, or go into Boston for a game at Fenway and see the Bosox play.
House is on double lot with plenty of sun throughout the day. Traffic is always a problem on the Cape but you are literally 12 minutes from being on Cape and relaxing on the property. Easy on/easy off!
Really wonderful property. We enjoy the cottage, the pool, the bar, the views, the quiet and beautiful neighboorhood. It really is a fabulous place to spend a vacation. There are plenty of space and comfortable beds for two families. Clean and very well equipped for just about anything you need, including entertaining and bikes.
Fitted our family perfectly. 3 adult couples and 4 children. The pool is the centerpiece closely followed by the Tiki Bar. We all liked the location away from the hustle and bustle of the Cape and just steps from the Bay and everything in the house is well stocked and furnished. Some things could use updating but that was no bother for us- we all had a great time.
This rental is a spacious home for multiple families. We loved the outdoor shower, pool and poolhouse. We had a very hot vacation week and everyone enjoyed the pool (only a few houses on the island had a pool). The short walk to beaches was great and they were never crowded. Overall this was great for our kids as they were able to bike around the neighborhood (low & slow traffic), go fishing, swimming, even have a wiffle ball game in the back yard.
The lobster trap down the road had good food for eat-in or take-out. A smaller market is down the street and there is a Market Basket (newly opened grocery store) just 10 minutes away.
We would recommend this rental property to friends or relatives.
This was my best vacation I have had in over 8 years. I loved the house, pool, and location. I was so relaxed it was so hard to leave. I am looking forward for next year. The pool makes you feel like your in a resort.
I would recommend this rental to anyone.
Mashnee Island sits on the end of Buzzards Bay on the Cape Cod side. The island is connected by land with a Dike built by the Army Corp of Engineers around the turn of the century. The Island has approximately ninety homes of which one- third are year- round and the remainder seasonal. The Island provides swimming on the Phinneys Cove side, along the dike, Sea clamming, kayaking, tubing and windsurfing are just a few of the activities you will see during the course of your stay. Walking the island and the dike are favorite pastimes of visitors and residents. Bring your bike to ride the canal or take a trip to the market.
