I’m not sure if I can make this review concise as there is so much to praise! I can't even begin to explain how utterly perfect this property was. We're still talking about it with friends and family after we got home. Typically we enjoy the hotel/resort lifestyle, but with our family coming together from Alaska, Oregon, and Nevada we felt the idea of a larger rental property would better suit our needs. We stayed 15 days and it truly felt like home, in every aspect. In some ways, it was better than home! We had my husband and I, and our two daughters (16 & 7). The incredible master bedroom, bathroom, and walk in closet were a dream. Coffee on the upstairs lanai in the morning is still a fond memory. Our daughters shared the 2nd upstairs bedroom, which was perfect with the 2 twin beds and their private bathroom. We also shared the home with the grandparents who got to stay very comfortably in the 3rd downstairs bedroom for their first ever trip to the islands. For a few nights we also had another family member take advantage of the pull out sofa upstairs. Plenty of room for everyone. The bedding in all of the bedrooms were clean, comfortable, gorgeous and appropriately designed. The abundance of pillows was a plus for my husband. We were quite spoiled with the kitchen and the amenities included. It became funny when one of us would say I wonder if there is a….and of course whatever it was we needed, we were sure to find it. I mean everything! We ate in and grilled on the Lanai nearly every day. It was so nice to be able to enjoy local foods and have such a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, indoor and out. We set the timer on the coffee pot every evening so we woke up to the aroma of fresh Kona coffee. As I would sit on the lanai in the morning sun, I became quite fond of the birds that would hang out in the yard just feet away. I actually miss them. They were so cute!
We honestly felt we had the best unit in the entire community. It’s the only building on the middle greenbelt and was a 20 second direct walk across the landscaped yard to the pool. However, the pool is visually guarded by a really cool lava mound and great greenery, so you never hear the pool or actually see it from your unit. But the access was incredible. There was hardly anyone at the pool either, so at times it felt like it was all our own. So I will conclude that this is not only everything they claim it is, it’s way better.
We had the best week of our lives staying in this gorgeous home. It far exceeded our expectations! It is so beautifully decorated, the kitchen is fully equipped. We stayed in and cooked all meals but one, just to enjoy the comfort of this home. The pool is just steps away, and very relaxing. The bedrooms are cozy, beautifully decorated, with a TV and bathroom in each room. I look forward to staying here time and time again.
Our family of four, plus two elderly grandparents stayed here for a week. From the minute we walked in the front door it was clear that this condo was not like any other we have rented before. The main thing we noticed was how CLEAN it was! Incredible! Absolutely beautiful furnishings as well as everything you could possibly need while vacationing in a home away from home. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay on the Big Island's west coast.
We have had the pleasure of staying in Q1 Golf Villas for the past 6 years. As described in our June 2014 review, Q1 Golf Villas can simply be described as staying in an oasis located within paradise. The owners are constantly upgrading the unit and each year it is more impressive which is hard to do when it is already excellent. Q1 is a corner unit which provides for a bright living space as there are large windows along the side. This accompanied by the 2 lanai's provides for a serene atmosphere. The other reviews written are also very complementary and there are no derogatory comments to consider. The unit has 3 full baths which is fabulous for a family of 6. The cleanliness of the condo is impeccable and the owner Marc is very reasonable to deal with and incredibly responsive when contacted. He is supported by a very capable management company on the island who look after any matters required. The unit has every utensil, plate, cup you can imagine. The private beach is a very nice touch and the property has an excellent workout area and the pool is fantastic. You can’t go wrong staying at Q1.
Nice location adjacent to the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
Walkable to the Hilton resort and all it's amenities.
The Mauna Lani property had some construction going on, but not disruptive.
The Pool was nice, but a little cold.
The amenities included with this unit were over the top. Everything was included.
Would recommend it to a friend.
We had such a terrific stay at this property. The unit is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and spacious, in wonderful condition, and centrally located. We loved snorkeling and swimming at the beach, taking walks along the fish ponds, swimming in the pool, and soaking in the hot tub. We highly recommend this property and hope to return again. Thank you!
We booked this VRBO for a week-long stay after a business colleague recommended the area. We were looking for space to sleep 3 adults and 2 children comfortably. We wanted a kitchen and laundry facilities as well as amenities such as a pool, groceries and convenient beach access. The condo had it all and was amazing. It was air conditioned and extremely clean. Nicely decorated and up-to-date with modern entertainment systems in all three bedrooms and living room. It had easy access fast wifi connection and ample kitchen utensils, basic spices/condiments and modern appliances. Simply luxurious. The location was beautiful, convenient and quiet. The lanai off the master bedroom overlooking the garden and pool was serene, and the granite countered outdoor kitchen with barbecue and dining table made for great atmosphere for some easy, casual meals while the kids threw the football in the garden area like it was our own backyard (because it was). Access to the pool was a 10 second walk off the lanai kitchen and the owner was pleasant and accommodating ensuring we had all keys, articles and access we desired. The garage fit the jeep we rented and the beach items including boogie boards, sand toys, mats and umbrellas were handy to grab and go. We highly recommend this place and will stay there for sure on our next visit to the island.
Relax at the beach club or step outside your door to the resort style pool. Explore the volcano or observe the endangered sea turtles grazing in the water. Enjoy a relaxing walk through the local fish ponds at Mauna Lani. Hike through the nearby rainforests or check out the universe at the Mauna Kea observatory. The villa is located just 25 minutes north of the Kona international airport
Other Activities: Explore the volcano, swim with the dolphins.
