The chalet is all natural wood. Entrance is through the lower level where the 3 bedrooms and full bathroom are located. One room has a queen bed, one is a double, and the third room has two sets of bunks. Going upstairs everything is open from back to front. There is the half bathroom next to the large kitchen area that is covered by the loft (queen mattress and box spring and 4 twin mattresses up there). In front of the kitchen is a dining area and then the living area with a large field stone fireplace. There is a deck outside of the sliding door with a table and a gas grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with the usual microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishes, pots & pans, etc... There is extended basic cable service and WiFi. It is located 3 miles from Storyland, 10 miles from the Mt. Washington Auto Road, 4 miles from Attatash Mt, and 8 miles from the shopping outlets and numerous restaurants of North Conway. There is hiking, swimming and golfing offered all around the area. M&R License 054316.

I wish there was a selection for ZERO stars. The owner of this property is a sneak, he kept my security deposit for the following reasons: The toilets were not cleaned, the sink was dirty, there was a CD left on the floor and there was a toothbrush left on the vanity. When we left the chalet, we gathered all the bedding blankets and left them on the beds. This was because we were under the assumption that he would wash them. Apparently he expected the beds to be made and NEVER washes the blankets. Check yourself for bed bug bites if you rent this place!

Also, upon arrival the driveway was not plowed and there was no shoveled access to the chalet. My fiance was carrying in our bags and slipped on ice and hurt her knee. The owner did not show a sign of remorse and basically laughed it off.

I have been a HomeAway renter for over five years and have never had a single complaint, now I have a security deposit withheld because I didn't put on my rubber gloves and clean the toilets and sinks.

Words of the owner:

"I found a CD on the floor in front of the CD player because someone was obviously too lazy to pick it up. I found a blanket left on the rail behind the couch because none of you thought it important enough to put it back in a bedroom."

"The kitchen sink was filthy, the beds in the loft and bunk room had the blankets dumped in a pile on them, the living room floor looked like someone gave a half-assed attempt to clean it, the hallway and stairs had not been vacuumed."

Nice touch using profanity towards your renters...

Owner's Response: To quote Paul Harvey, here’s “The Rest of the Story”. Obviously from the reviews on my site this is an isolated incident. This renter has professed not realizing that he was responsible for the cleaning, straightening out, and trash removal at my rental property. Now he is upset because I am withholding his deposit to cover the expenses to have this done. The information on what is expected of renters is posted on my HomeAway site as follows: “You are responsible for leaving the chalet the way you find it - clean, neat, and all trash and perishables removed. All cleaning supplies and the vacuum are there.” Also, my initial email transaction with this renter mentioned that his deposit was refundable “when I find that the place is clean and all of your trash has been removed.“ Finally, I have a list on the refrigerator of what to do when a renter leaves. I couldn’t believe the condition I found my home in when I arrived to check it. This renter is an example of every rental owner’s nightmare. Predictably, he has selected to publically share a very small part of my email to him listing what I found. The list is far more extensive.

Everything was amazing its location, to the style of the cabin the amenities it has everything you could need for a comfortable cabin stay it was awesome i would recommend staying here to everyone !!

Perfect cabin in the woods

We were looking for a cozy house with easy access to skiing and hiking, but not too far from stores for resupplying. This cabin was perfect. It was very well stocked with cooking and cleaning supplies. I shouldn't have brought my crock pot, because there was even one of those! The open floor plan made it feel a lot larger than the square footage would suggest. The "upside down" layout, with the bedrooms downstairs, made the most of the location, allowing sunlight to stream into the living area all day long. It was quite cold that week, but the rooms had individual temperature control and we stayed perfectly comfortable.

The location, Glen, is terrific for those who want to get outside, with easy access to Pinkham and Crawford notches and associated hiking trails. It's just north of the North Conway madness, so you don't have to deal with crowds and traffic unless you want to. There is a small but well-stocked supermarket at the junction of 16 & 302 just a few miles from the house - so convenient.

The owner is extremely responsive and quickly answered any questions I had. We hope to stay at Northern Track on a future vacation!

Great Family Vacation House!

We have been staying here going on our 4th year, close to all the parks and trails. Has every thing you will need kitchen wise, internet, clean. My kids love the the fact their is a fossil on the fireplace. Would recommend to families young or old!

Just came back from the weekend in the chalet, we all had a great time (even the dog's) enjoyed the fireplace. Kids ages from 16 to 2o much to do shopping,hiking,joy rides everyone was satisfied. Chalet is clean,cozy,and great place to make family memories.

The property is located 3 miles from the intersection of Rt. 302 and Rt. 16 in Glen, NH. It is in the Mt. Washington Valley and near four 4 season resort areas - Mt. Cranmore, Attatash Mt., Wildcat Mt. and Black Mt. Also in the area are major hiking trails including part of the Appalachian Trail and Mt. Washington. Within a 45 minute drive is Santa's Village, Bretton Woods, and the North Conway shopping outlets. North Conway has events that are open to the public all summer long such as craft and art shows, music festivals, and fireworks displays. There are competitive bike and foot races monthly in town and up Mt. Washington. It is a fisherman's paradise with all the rivers and streams and golfers can choose from several area public courses.
