1 Bedroom, 1 Bath with beautiful view of the Tower of Americas from the backyard
About Cindi McBride
I have spent my entire life in Texas from North to South. I moved to San Antonio in 1997 and spent 20 years in the bicycle retail business. Cycling is a passion of mine. I moved downtown in 2014 and fell in love with the urban lifestyle. My family and I walk everywhere and enjoy the food and entertainment afforded to us all along the river. We love to cycle along the Mission Reach trail which goes past all the historic Missions. The Mission Reach now has a world heritage designation and is a real gem for San Antonio. I live on the property and really enjoy hosting visitors from all corners of the world. San Antonio is a great place to live and visit.
Cindi McBride purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Cindi McBride chose East Side
I moved to this property in 2014 because I wanted to live in an urban area with a small footprint. I wanted to be able to walk to many destinations and ride by bicycle to a bike path right from my house. My neighborhood is called Lavaca and I have terrific neighbors, many of them multi-generational. We enjoy a simple lifestyle surrounded by history.
What makes this Cottage unique
My property is small and full of charm. The main house was built in 1890 yet the additions are very perfect balance of old and new. The backyard is my favorite spot with a beautiful view of the Tower of America. We have an outdoor dining table, pool, ping pong and a Chimenea fireplace with pinon wood ( smells heavenly) for those cooler evenings. Very peaceful and quiet right in the heart of downtown.

Great place, great stay.
This little gem was great for our weekend getaway. It is in a great location, walking distance from everywhere we wanted to eat. The dipping pool was a godsend to cool down after spending the day in a San Antonio summer.
Cindi was very welcoming, and had everything we needed for our stay.
We would definitely stay here again on another trip.
Jeff and his sweetheart were a great couple to host! Great communication and the space was super clean. Please come back again soon!
Hidden Gem in great location
Cindi has an awesome place for a couple looking to visit San Antonio. This little cottage offered plenty of space me and the wife to stay comfortably but that's all it will accommodate so make this your intimate getaway. Its setup like a studio apartment but not so small your crawling on top of each other. The bathroom was great and bigger than it looks in the picture. Cindi has provided everything you would need on your stay and then some. TV, fridge, coffee maker, plenty of storage and a extremely cold AC which was loved on those Hot San Antonio days. The location is walking distance to a ton of restaurants, bars, the riverwalk (4-5 block away), the Alamo and Towers of America...Seriously we walked everywhere and if it seems a little to far UBER drivers are everywhere to take you to your destination. The yard has an extremely nice little private pool to dip in and theres a great pergola that provides alot of shade. She has a BBQ grill and ping pong table for entertainment. The wife and I have stayed at alot of places thru VRBO and AIR B&B and this place rates as one the nicer places we have stayed at, Combine that with the location and I promise you wont be disappointed. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks again for all the info Cindi, you made our trip that much better.
The Alamo and Hemisfair Park are walking distance as well as Southtown Restaurants and King William. Blue Star Art Complex and the Pearl Brewery are accesible along the Riverwalk.
Pearl Brewery has a weekend Farmer's Market and terrific restaurants. Southtown has a festival every first Friday of the Month.
My location is walkable to all these areas. Electric bike and scooter rentals are just a few blocks from the guest cottage.
