Overview

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This Pet Friendly Home was featured as Log Home of the month in Log Home Living Magazine! Booking the week of your arrival can result in great discounts. This cozy getaway may be a little pricier than most in Pine Mountain but there is something to the old expression 'you get what you pay for' and this is arguably Pine Mountain Club's most premium property! We have never not received less than a 5/5 star rating since we opened! Ask about reduced pricing for stays over 3 nights.

The 'Log getaway' is a 1200 square foot log cabin made with 18' average diameter hand crafted logs, soaring cathedral ceilings, a huge master loft with log bed, stainless steel appliances, copper sinks, stone shower, and wide plank wood floors.

I look at the cabin as an artist's retreat and as the owner I use it to create and display art ( I am a photographer from Carpinteria). The common feedback is that it does not feel at all like a vacation rental! This is an unknown area to most in LA but it is quieter than Big Bear and an easier drive!

We just installed a 55'' LCD Flatscreen TV with DISH and a large DVD collection!

We are just one hour north of the San Fernando Valley, one hour south of Bakersfield, and 15 miles west of Frazier Park. We are within 2 hours of LA, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Santa Maria. Pine Mountain Club is truly an undiscovered escape that is so close to so many!

Our cabin is perfect for one or two couples or a small family so we cannot accommodate more than four (4) occupants at any one time. Heat for the cabin is provided by a cozy gas fireplace/stove.

There is beautiful hiking to a magical waterfall just a short walk up the road and you can enjoy the snow in the winter as we are at 6500'feet elevation (which keeps it cool in the summer as well)! A 9-hole PGA executive golf course and a quaint village center with shopping and restaurants are just 5 minutes away.

Due to this elevation the CHP requires that you carry chains when there is a chance for snow. Check the PMC link below for weather and road condition information and links for more information. Due to the high fire danger no smoking is allowed on the property.

The Master is a large open loft with a king bed, an office, and a sitting area and 1/2 bath. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and is next to the full bath. High speed wireless and an iMac computer with high speed internet is provided. A speaker system with sub-woofer is also supplied for hook up to your laptop IPOD, or phone. There is also a collection of games, poker chips, a large DVD collection and Satellite TV.

I have put our heart and soul into this place and now I hope others can enjoy it too!

This place is bliss. You should have seen Greg's face when we walked in the door. I was able to keep him completely in the dark and he was stunned, amazed and euphoric. This little log cabin you've created

This place is bliss. You should have seen Greg's face when we walked in the door. I was able to keep him completely in the dark and he was stunned, amazed and euphoric. This little log cabin you've created is magical. Our time here will be a cherished memory for the rest of our lives. We want to try the winter time here.

Thank you again for helping me to give Greg his best birthday ever!

My husband could not have picked a better place for our 26th wedding anniversary getaway! The log cabin construction is so beautiful along with your earthy decor-so comfy, but so classy. As a fellow artist myself... it is evident that the architechtual details were orchestrated everywhere you look. the loft is an incredible sanctuary amongst the tree tops-so relaxing and romantic. Thank you for sharing your place. we will definitely be back again!!!

Warm regards to you Russ and Gina

It is a beautiful log cabin - one of a kind! Very peaceful.

We had a great time and couldn't find a better place to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. You have to see pictures of this cabin to believe it. It's amazing! We also enjoyed one the many excellent hiking trails for those who enjoy the mountain trails. We whole heartily recommend this place for those wishing to getaway from it all.

Absolutely beautiful cabin.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here. The weather worked wonderfully, just enough snow to give a light blanket of white, but not so much that we had to pull out all the snow gear. We found the place without too much trouble, even in the dark. The association has a great restaurant if you do not want to go venture out too far. But there are plenty of other options, even in the winter.

Fantastic Cabin in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful log cabin - it was exactly what we were hoping for a mellow birthday getaway. We wanted to find some snow and, luckily for us, it snowed the whole time we were there. The cabin is warm and cozy - a great place to relax - and we found plenty of places to walk / hike nearby. The owner was super helpful and we really appreciated that we could bring our dog (who also loved it). We brought in our own food - which worked out nicely, however there is a little market close by with a few essentials if you forget something. If you expect a snowstorm, bring chains. CHP was checking cars for chains in Frazier Park when we left and, in a deep snow, you might want them for the short but steep driveway.

Beautiful winter cottage 2 hours from LA

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed a long weekend at Pine Mountain Club and the Getaway Cottage/Cabin. The place was beautiful Easy to find with lots of places to walk to nearby. It was snowy, which our dogs loved. Cottage was fully furnished. Heat worked great. Exactly as described. Owner was very communicative before we got there and easily accessible if there had been any issues (which there weren't). Really enjoyable and relaxing weekend. We ate at the cottage, but there is a pub nearby and the clubhouse has a cafe. if snow is predicted, you have to have chains for your car or CHP won't let you past Frasier Park. Thanks for a really nice weekend.

Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Loved, loved, loved this cabin. It is so beautiful and comfortable. The large logs and beautiful views are perfect. We were fortunate enough to get snow during our stay and we're always warm and snug. Enjoyed watching movies on the big screen TV and just watching the snow fall. My only suggestion would be to have a sled or saucer available. Would definitely recommend.
