Our vacation home offers the best of both worlds; a place to relax and a location to explore nature. Located on a quiet cul de sac, the house features decks that offer an unobstructed view down a redwood canyon to the ocean. (The Point Reyes peninsula is visible on a clear day!) Listen for the barking of the seals or the whistle of an osprey as it glides overhead with a fish.
A short drive takes you to some of the most spectacular hikes and beaches on the California coast, including Stillwater Cove and Salt Point State Park (known for mushroom foraging).
The fully supplied kitchen features a pantry stocked with the basics such as coffee, sugar, and rice. Bring your own groceries and cook, head down the hill to a nearby restaurant, or take the spectacular drive to Gualala for a variety of dining options.
Our guests have told us (and we agree) that the stay is wonderful rain or shine. The bookshelves feature a variety of reading materials, games, DVDs and videos. There is plenty of wood to keep you warm or create the perfect getaway setting. In case that isn't enough, we also have internet access!

Amazing view! Stayed here for a wedding. Right down the street from Timber Cove Resort. We had a great time.
Nice & relaxaing
We enjoyed our stay at Linda's house. We had a very nice and relaxing time. The house is very spacious and very well furnished. Linda & Zack were very helpful and got us everything we needed. Linda allowed us to take our little fur baby so that was awesome! Timber Cove resort has great food too.
Great place to gather with friends.
My husband and I met up with some good friends and spent two nights here. The home is well suited for this kind of gathering. We enjoyed our two evenings in the cozy living room with a fire going, beautiful views and some great wine! The house was clean and well furnished. The owner was very helpful and responded to questions quickly. Great area with the ocean nearby and gorgeous drives and fun little towns to visit.
Beautiful and Relaxing!
We booked Casa Seawood/Burrito for a bit of post-holiday relaxation, and couldn't have been happier! The house had all the amenities we needed, and when we had an issue with the coffee maker, Zack (whose hand-roasted coffee was already in the freezer) was over in minutes to help us out. The setting is very private, and the view from the deck of the trees all the way out to the ocean is perfect for enjoying morning coffee. You might even hear the seals barking in the distance.
The close proximity of a number of beaches, each with it's own personality, as well as historic Fort Ross is great for quick trips during the day. We were able to enjoy sandy beaches, driftwood, rocky beaches, and tidepools all in the course of a single afternoon.
And in the evening it's a quick trip down to the lovely Timber Cove Inn across the highway for dinner or a nice cocktail by the fire.
Thanks again to Linda (and to Zack)! We really enjoyed our stay!
Great house in the redwoods
This was our second stay at Casa Seawood.
The weather was beautiful for December. You could hear the sea lions barking, and the ocean crashing. The night skys were amazing!
The kitchen is fully equipped and we cooked every night.
The fireplace made nights cozy and warm.
Would definitely recommend Casa Seawood to anyone seeking peace, quiet, and relaxation.
We really enjoyed the beautiful location with all the views
The house is situated on a slope that looks down a redwood canyon to the ocean. View from the decks and dining area is unobstructed by other structures. Although not isolated, the area is quiet and serene - a perfect place to take a deep breath and relax. Plenty of hiking and some spectacular beach areas nearby. (Guidebooks available in house.) There are a couple of restaurants nearby, but the nearest full grocery story is about half an hour north, so bring enough food to tide you over. Fort Ross is a worthy expedition into a restored Russian outpost with a beautiful coastal access.
