Our vacation home offers the best of both worlds; a place to relax and a location to explore nature. Located on a quiet cul de sac, the house features decks that offer an unobstructed view down a redwood canyon to the ocean. (The Point Reyes peninsula is visible on a clear day!) Listen for the barking of the seals or the whistle of an osprey as it glides overhead with a fish.
A short drive takes you to some of the most spectacular hikes and beaches on the California coast, including Stillwater Cove and Salt Point State Park (known for mushroom foraging).
The fully supplied kitchen features a pantry stocked with the basics such as coffee, sugar, and rice. Bring your own groceries and cook, head down the hill to a nearby restaurant, or take the spectacular drive to Gualala for a variety of dining options.
Our guests have told us (and we agree) that the stay is wonderful rain or shine. The bookshelves feature a variety of reading materials, games, DVDs and videos. There is plenty of wood to keep you warm or create the perfect getaway setting. In case that isn't enough, we also have internet access!

Quiet serenity provides a great place to relax, go to spectacular beaches, forage for mushrooms, hike in the redwoods. This is a great place to leave civilization behind, yet enjoy the comforts of home.
This home is amazing!!! So peaceful and quiet. So comfortable, you will find everything you will need. Will definitely be returning.
This place was spectacular! The photos really don't do it justice. The huge picture windows in the kitchen/dining room and living room really bring the beauty of the surrounding redwood forest inside. And the large porch is perfect for soaking up the serenity and the fresh air. Outside or inside, it felt very private and was extremely quiet, except for the sweet calls of the osprey. The kitchen was very well stocked, we found everything we could hope to use. And we also enjoyed sampling the variety of tea in the pantry. Overall, it was just fantastic and we would return here in a heartbeat and hope to do so soon! The only thing that was less than ideal was that the hot water took a while to heat up, but showering while enjoying the redwood view was still an awesome treat! As a bonus, Linda was great to work with.
Stayed here for 3 nights celebrating my husband's 75th. Peaceful, clean, private, QUIET, unplugged. Sure beats staying in any slammer (hotels). LOVED IT. Dreaming of coming back.
Thank you, Jill.

First off, the owner Jill is great to work with! The home has everything that you need for a wonderful vacation getaway! The house is very clean, peaceful, comfortable beds! Okay for me a gas stove to cook on sealed the deal! You're tucked away on the hillside amongst beautiful redwood trees! You can hear the seals bark from the deck. At night you can see all the star's! The soaking bathtub takes away all the stress! Your about a 30 minute drive to Gualala. You have to go to Trinks Cafe 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. They have the best coffee and pasties! Just book it! You won't be disappointed!
We loved it. It truly is an amazing place.
We had a great time.
This was our second stay at this property and once again we really enjoyed it. The home is secluded, in the redwoods, yet close to the Timbercove Inn (nice place for dinner and awesome views of the ocean), just down the street. The Fort Ross Store is only about a mile away and carries pretty much anything you need. They do close early though so be sure to stop in during the day. We have a French bulldog and he loves the house too, he spends a lot of time on the deck which is completely fenced in. The home is fully equipped and roomy enough for four. Our daughter was able to join us this time and she loved the house and location too! We especially enjoyed the kitchen - like being at home, has everything you need to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner (which we took advantage of). If you want to save some money on lodging, yet stay in a well maintained property, this is he place for you. It is about a 30-minute drive to Bodega Bay, which is where spent one day, but the drive is gorgeous and worth the peace and privacy you get at this property. The owners are easy to work with too. We will definitely be back! (West Sacramento, CA)
The house is situated on a slope that looks down a redwood canyon to the ocean. View from the decks and dining area is unobstructed by other structures. Although not isolated, the area is quiet and serene - a perfect place to take a deep breath and relax. Plenty of hiking and some spectacular beach areas nearby. (Guidebooks available in house.) There are a couple of restaurants nearby, but the nearest full grocery story is about half an hour north, so bring enough food to tide you over. Fort Ross is a worthy expedition into a restored Russian outpost with a beautiful coastal access.
