About claudia Morace
My name is Claudia Morace. I am 73. I have a daughter, she is a pianist and two sons lawyers as my husband was.I have also eight grandchildren. I love taking personally care of my house and of my apartments in Florence. I love flowers, nature, people and life.
claudia Morace purchased this Apartment in 2002
Why claudia Morace chose Sant' Ambrogio
After my husband's death, I had to sell a beautiful family property dated 1800 in Austria. It was too expensive for me to keep. I have always been dreaming to live for a while in Florence and I decided to buy an apartment in the very heart of the city. I take care of my two apartments, listing 92298 and listing 165586 with love, trying to immagine what I would love to find renting a place far away from my home. Full comfort, peace, a luxury experience, an owner replying to all questions, assistance to plan trips.

Marvelous - from beginning to end
From my very first communication with Claudia, our stay at her Florence flat has been seamless. Clean, centrally-located, spacious, thoughtful touches (water and milk provided at arrival), restaurant recommendations, and, of course, samples of her divine, homemade olive oil. Everything about Claudia’s home was wonderful!
So happy to have wonderful guests like you.
My pleasure to host you and I hope you will be back again.
Home Away From Home
The rental experience was very simple and the owner, Claudia, was very responsive and helpful.
The apartment is spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The location is perfect for walking to all of the major museums and the good shopping areas and restaurants.
Claudia was warm and welcoming and very helpful. She provided a basket of fruit and a small can of olive oil from her farm. She arranged a great private car to take us on a lovely day trip to Siena, Monteriggioni, and San Gimignano.
I highly recommend this apartment, especially for the very reasonable price for all of this luxury.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.
It was a pleasure to host you and I hope you will be back again.
Wonderful stay in Florence
An amazing trip for my husband and two teenage children. The location was fantastic and Claudia could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend to family and friends
Thank you Melissa for your kind note.
All the best to you and to your family and I hope to see you once again in the next future.
Wonderful accommodation in the heart of Florence
I agree with the other reviews: The property is delightful, charming, well-kept and clean -- and the location is perfect for walking to the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, a number of fine restaurants and other highlights of the city.
We especially enjoyed using the kitchen in the apartment, which is well-equipped and fully functional. The beautiful marble tabletop served us well for numerous meals and conversations, and there was plenty of room for all of us to work and help out.
One point of explanation may be useful for American visitors: When the description says "second and top floor," it means that in the European sense, which for (many) Americans translates to "third floor" -- and therefore multiple flights of steps.
We happened to be there during the heat wave that hit Europe in late June, and were grateful that the apartment had air conditioners in several rooms; but renters should be aware that there is a 20 EUR per day extra charge for this.
Thank you for your beautiful review.
You and your family have been wonderful guests.
Usually June is not so hot as it was this year
Under “house rules and cancellation policy” on my page on www.vrbo.com listing 165586 and listing 92298 is written:
Final cleaning : euro 100 to be paid cash on arrival
A/C or Heating: euro 20/day
Utilities on consumption for long period.
As not always is necessary to use either heating or air conditioning I prefer to charge them just if used as extra costs, to avoid you and me to pay on them taxes and service fees.
I hope you will be back again, may be in the fall or in the early spring.
All the best
P.S: my favorite months November, December
Great place to stay.
Claudia is a wonderful owner/concierge. It’s fun to stay in the old part of the city. Great restaurants and bars in walking distance and easy walk to tourist sites. It’s comfortable but better be advised that you will have stairs to climb. We got in shape by the end of the week. Claudia is a gracious host and was wonderful. Nice alternative to a hotel.
it was a pleasure to host you and Dianne and a pleasure to be your concierge……
I hope to be somehow a little better …..
On my page listing 92298 and listing 165586 is indicated that there is not lift and that the apartment is on the second European floor which is like a third one.
Everything about this apartment was perfect. The location, the amenities, the check in and check out, the cleanliness, and the decor and set up of the apartment. We did get our exercise going up and down the stairs but that helped us work off all the gelato that we ate. Claudia's Assistant Kitty did a great job checking us in and familiarizing is with everything. The air conditioning was a lifesaver. We absolutely loved our stay!
Thank you Lisa for your kind and beautiful note.
I do hope you will be back and next time have time to visit our farm in Chianti.
All the best
