The cottage was very clean and modern. Lots of space. The fenced in yard was key with 2 1/2 yr old twins! Only 6 houses from the beach...about a 2 minute walk. The owner was very accomodating and kept in contact with me from the time I was interested in the cottage rental to the day we got there. He was very helpful.
One thing I would do is to get wireless internet for the house. Otherwise, it was great!
This was our first experience renting a cottage instead of staying at hotels, and I must say that Mark made the experience very easy and pleasant. He went over and above what I ever expected to make sure we were taken care of. As far as the actual house, it was PERFECT. It comfortably fit my wife, 2 kids and mother in law and was fresh and cleaner than any hotel I've stayed at on the cape. The central air was awesome to have on some muggy days and the location was perfect. The wifi was fast and worked great, the house has everything we were looking for. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach, a 10 minute walk to Woolfies (Ate there 4 times.. DELICIOUS egg sandwiches and baked goods), 5 minute walk to ice cream.. We will definitely be staying in this house again. Highly recommended.
I highly recommened this cottage. The home is clean and nicely decorated. It's obvious the cottage has been renovated- it's very open and airy. It was plenty of space for my husband and our five yr old daughter and three yr old son. The kids loved the fenced in yard and the hammock! It was great to have a yard for the kids to play in after the beach. Also, the outside shower came in handy. The neighborhood was quiet, a two minute walk to the beach. We walked to Sundae School for ice cream at night-about a five minute walk. Mark has been very accomodating. He even took the time to recommed some restaurants and activities for our family since it was our first time visiting Cape Cod. We had a few questions during our stay and he responded quickly. We look forward to staying at this cottage again.
Terrific cottage, everything seems new, beautiful decorations. Very clean and well taken care of. Was a bit worried that it would be too far from the beach, but that was a non issue, was close enough for my 4 year old daughter to walk back and forth (2 minutes walk). We were a family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). All beds were really comfortable and the kids loved their bedroom. The owner even added a 3rd double size bed in the sunroom which we really appreciated.
The owner is a really nice person, we had a small issue with a lock on the first day and he was very quick to make sure everything was ok. that was really reassuring since it was during the 4th of July. He made sure we enjoyed ourselves from the first minute to the last. I would gladly do business again with him.
We spent a terrific week in Cape Cod, thanks!
We are a family of 6, including 4 teenagers! Needless to say vacationing is not always stress-free but this week was amazing. The house was perfect and the outdoor shower great. Everything is new and updated and CLEAN. Seconds to beach, perfect area for riding bikes, close to everything. Highly recommend.
Very nice cottage, renovated and very comfortable. We were a family of six (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids) and had all the space we needed. Terrace and outdoor shower are fantastic, kitchen well equipped and highly functional. Very well located on a quiet street and walking distance from beach, Sunday School, Fruit Market. Easy access the Cape Cod Bike Trail (CCRT). The owner takes good care of its property and easily reachable. We have been delighted.
Dennisport is located on Cape Cod in an area called Mid-Cape and is on the warm waters of the Nantucket Sound. The beauty of Cape Cod is that the shoreline changes dramatically from town to town and weather you like a remote beach away from everything or one with more action you are sure to find it on the Cape. Some beaches have enormous dunes or cliffs while others you can walk only a few steps from a parking lot. The town of Dennis touches both Nantucket Sound (Dennisport and West Dennis) and the Cape Cod Bay (Dennis and East Dennis) and the two bodies of water are dramatically different. Our rental is 1/10 of a mile from Nantucket Sound, but the beaches on Cape Cod Bay are so different they are are a must for first time visitors.
Golf: Within 15 miles of our cottage you can play at over 20 public and semi-private courses. Pick up or view the Little Black Book of Golf on Cape Cod, in the basket of pamphlets on the coffee table. Please leave the book for those coming in behind you. Some of the most challenging and best designed courses are right here on the Cape…..and REASONABLE green fees. For those who wish to go out for a nice dinner: Abbicci – (Rt 6A Yarmouth) – Great Italian Seafood, strong wine list The Ocean House (Old Wharf Road) – Dennisport – Can’t get closer to the water (can walk there). Gina’s By the Sea (Taunton Ave, off Rt 6A, Dennis Village) – Go and experience the atmosphere, food, fun, and take a walk on the beach after you park the car and place your name on the list. We recommend you bring a bottle of wine and catch a sunset, then have dinner. Naked Oyster (Rt 132/Attucks Drive – Hyannis) – High end, NY style Bistro. You will have to call them for summer hours, tastings, tours, etc. This is not a bad place to go on the way to Provincetown or coming back…… Dessert: The Sundae School – Opened in 1976, celebrating 30 years on the Cape….very rich and creamy ice cream…….and close to to the house. Right on Lower County to Sea Street – on right corner
