Glorious Duplex Apartment In Stunning Regency Crescent On Ramsgate Seafront
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund
Tired needs some tlc
Apartment door security light broke, utility room cupboard unpleasant, toilet door lock broke, lounge, sofa seat cushions flat and uncomfortable, we had to bolster them up with the spare duvet, the scatter cushions have seen days, the coffee table leg unsafe and painted black!! Kitchen the kick board loose and pron to falling on you feet. Cutlery, crockery and glasses a total mishmash, odds and sods. Bedroom wardrobe in main bedroom I felt was unsafe and totally unsuitable for long garments i.e, trousers, and should be removed (IKEA do great flat pack wardrobes) flat pillows, so uncomfortable, and what amazed me even more was the mirror leaning against the wall, so unsafe, and the creepy brown wardrobe in the front room not too fresh !,!
Sorry for the negative review but it is surposs to be "Home Away", would I recommend this apartment !!! Probably not, however the viewover the sea beautiful. Once again I feel holiday homes are not always as the photos or description are true, hence the imperfections come to the fore. Overall needs a lot of TLC and thought.
Great views and comfortable apartment
Lovely Comfortable apartment with nearly everything you could want for a relaxing seaside holiday. The views from the front window were stunning: the harbour walls, the beach, the English Channel with boats galore and windsurfers too. One or two small suggestions: the plumbing needs looking at, as water does not drain freely from either of the bathroom sinks or showers, and there needs to be a chair or something to put your things overnight in the double bedroom. There is no shelf or cabinet in the bathroom for your toiletries so we put them in the bath and on the floor! The telescope was a great idea for spotting ships and yachts - on the final day when the weather was so clear, we could even see a tiny bit of France. I know that is very rare (my family are from here) so that was thrilling. We used the Loop bus for local sightseeing £4.00 for an all day ticket means you can use it like a hop on hop off bus. Enjoyed the cosmopolitan atmosphere and forgave the occasional noisy passers by as part of the scene. Would recommend to anyone unafraid of stairs up to the second floor, it really is worth the effort.
The apartments was fantastic but I had to score it as 3 because of a few issues.
The apartment was amazing and can be classed as luxury but there was one serious issue and several minor. The serious issue was the blocked kitchen sink which impacted the drainage of the dishwasher that was full of stale water that smelt dreadful. Fortunately we had a utility room with a sink in another part of the apartment so we used that. The minor issues were window latches not working on some windows, toilet roll holder not secured to the wall properly so came off. Main bathroom door handle kept coming off, no lock on toilet door, cupboard door handle to unit in living room came off exposing a screw which could cause injury. In the utility room cupboard there were a pack of nappies and a pack of adult incontinence pants. These items should have been removed before new guests arrived. None of these issues ruined our holiday but had they not occurred my assesment would have been 5 stars. Ben and Natasha addressed the issues thst we raised (we didn't mention all of them because thst would have ruined our holiday to be constantly raising issues). If the issues are sorted this will be perfection
Lovely apartment with great view and access to Ramsgate and the local areas.
Apartment was great. Very comfortable and a home from home. Lovely big apartment with great sized rooms and bedrooms. Lovely to wake up to the beautiful view every morning. Spotlessly clean with plenty of towels and comfy duvets.
- lack of parking, sometimes had to park a fair distance away
- strong smell of cigarette smoke in shared hall & stairway
- kids disappointed with broken telescope.
- A few health & safety issues:
- husband is 6'1" and bumped his head on way to top floor (beware)
- light at top of the stairs outside our flat door was broken, so it was very dark.
Those small things aside, we had a great stay and were very pleased with our choice. My 10 year old daughter loved her bedroom and spent most of her time there!! If parking was provided or more readily available we would definitely stay again.
Clean, tastefully decorated and gorgeous view. Worked great for a girls weekend.
Very attractive comfortable apartment in terrific location overlooking the English Channel and port of Ramsgate.
Ramsgate is a fabulous British seaside town. It sits below Broad stairs on the coast and north of Broad stairs is Margate. The whole area is called the Isle of Thanet.
This beautiful corner of Kent has amazing sandy beaches and often gets stunning weather when the rest of the county of Kent is experiencing less than perfect conditions.
Ramsgate is a perfect mix of Broad stairs and Margate in that it has a great mlx of people whom are all very passionate about the area and a splendid array of amazing architectural delights.
The town, the people, the buildings, the beaches. the restaurants, the bars all contribute to making Ramsgate a great holiday destination.
