The apartment is on the first floor above the old stables of a palace Lucchese, recently renovated retaining original features such as wooden floors and bricks typical of Tuscany, stone masonry facing and fine finishes. Currently in the Old Stables was created a shop / restaurant. The apartment consists of: a bright living room with sofa bed, a double bedroom with access to a terrace overlooking a courtyard surrounded by lemon trees where in spring during flowering you can enjoy the pleasant scent, a double room with two single beds (on request with a double bed), two shower rooms, one in the room, a large kitchen fully equipped. It also comes with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, heating and cooling floor. The modern decor makes it cozy and allows you to enjoy a pleasant stay.
Nice apartment in the heart of the historical center of Lucca a few steps from the walls that enclose the old city and passable on foot or by bicycle. Its central location offers easy access to visit the city, its attractions and monuments such as churches, squares, museums and more. The city of Lucca is located in a strategic place, in 20 minutes you reach the Versilia coast where in February is held the largest carnival in Italy and now in a mountain. During the year events are organized cultural, religious and folklore, as Green Walls in March / April, the Summer Festival in July, September Lucchese with the procession of the Holy Cross, Lucca Comics and Games in the month October / novemvbre.
The third and fourth Sunday of each month the city streets are animated by flea markets and antiques.
In the streets of the hills and countryside surrounding Lucca are many farms wine tasting, oil and typical local products and we can visit the many Ville Lucchesi as the Nobles, Villa Mansi, Villa Reale, Villa Grabaou, Villa Oliva and many other.
We spent 3 nights in Lucca at this beautiful apartment. The owners were so hospitable, greeting us with a bottle of wine and traditional Lucca bread. We did the walking tour in Lucca, very informative. We rented bikes and biked all around the wall and through the city streets. We spent one day hiking at Cinque Terre. Finding the free public parking was not straight forward in Lucca but the information building inside the wall was very helpful. The apartment front porch overlooks a restaurant, so we would sit and people watch and the restaurant even sent up a basket of focaccia to have with our wine. We ate there (The Food Market) on our last night and it was excellent. At the end we met with the owners again, everything was done very professionally and they even brought us tomatoes and peppers from their garden. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone and visiting Lucca was a great experience. Laura & Larry
This charming apartment is very central and close to the bus stop and railway station. The apartment is very well maintained and the owners could not have been more helpful, we would certainly recommend it, four of us had a wonderful week.
