Conveniently located within walking distance to shopping dining and ocean activities, this beautiful town-home offers a large bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and full bath, full sized washer and dryer and gourmet fully stocked kitchen with granite counter-tops and custom Italian cabinetry and, an open comfortable living room and dining area. Just off the living space is a nice sized lanai. Upstairs offers two more bedrooms, the master suite with king sized bed, large bathroom including a tub and shower, the guest room has it's own bath and two twin beds. Each room offers a TV, central A/C.1 week minimum required. Rates slightly higher during Christmas/New Year holiday and Ironman.
Our unit is professionally managed by a fantastic group! They have been in business for over 35 years and are available 24/7 to assist you with any problems that may arise. They can also assist you in finding car rentals and any activities you wish to do while on island.
We stayed in this property for 2 weeks. It is very roomy, and because each bedroom has it's own en suite bathroom, it offers privacy for those traveling as couples or families. We've rented several Big Island condos over the years. I'd have to say this particular complex overall is one of the nicest in the Keauhou/Kailua-Kona area. Amy was easy and quick with the booking. Only the very picky could find fault and be dissatisfied with this vacation rental.
Certainly, it's one of the newest complexes in the area. The unit's furnishings are fairly fresh (I'd say 90's Tommy Bahama-style), landscaping is neat, the pool was clean. Two BRs up, 1 BR down is great if anyone has difficulty with stairs. There's ample parking (although we were there at a slow time) and the location is convenient. Plenty of beach equipment. We long for the day when more of the Kailua-Kona (Ali'i Drive) oceanfront properties get updated for this century!
To be honest for renters and the owner, very minor issues would include the shower heads (wide rainshower-types with zero pressure offered no hope of rinsing thick hair), spring mattresses and old TVs are nearing retirement age, and very limited cabinet space is allotted for "pantry" items in the kitchen. (I would not call it a "cook's kitchen" as far as equipment or layout) There was a little faucet for filtered water, but I don't think it was working - Water tasted the same as the main faucet. (No ice-maker, so buy on your way there) We entertained our toddler granddaughter who lives in Kona so were grateful for the toys in the garage, but wished several times for a highchair. No duvets inside the duvet covers was a bit odd. There are technically "ocean views" from the lanais; but the condo sits on a corner of an "intersection" of roads inside the complex so it felt slightly fishbowl-ish for sitting outside. Front door is across from a dumpster. None of this was a big deal for us, and we would definitely consider renting again.
We stayed at this property in the last week of December 2016. Beautiful condo. Loved the lanai and the awesome view of the ocean that it has to offer. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and all the bedrooms were neat, clean and well kept. Sunquest management did an awesome job of keeping us posted with Conformation emails, Pre-arrival letters and kept in touch by giving us a ring to see if all was well. Loved every part of it. Thank you to the management for a worry free experience and the owners for sharing your place!
Few minutes walk to Keauhou Shopping Center and the famous snorkeling at Kahaluu Beach Park.
