Wonderful home and location.

  • 5 of 5

Great four season location. We spent a lovely fall weekend there. The house had everything we needed and was beautifully furnished. Colleen was very easy to work with and attentive. We'd definitely go back.

Lovely home in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We had such a fabulous visit at this house. It is a beautiful location and the house itself is both lovely and very comfortable. The layout is open and there is a huge deck, as well as a variety of spaces to be outdoors, including right by the water. We were able to go kayaking and play lawn games while enjoying restful nights and sleep. It is very private and we were truly able to feel like we were away from it all. We stayed there with another family with younger kids (8 and 5) and there were plenty of sleeping options for all. We are really hoping we get a chance to go back soon!

Perfectly Relaxing Lake Vacation on Lake Eden

  • 5 of 5

Colleen's house and hospitality on Lake Eden made this the best lake house vacation we have ever taken. The house itself is beautiful, thoughtfully laid out, comfortable, and clean. The large windows and huge deck look out onto the lake, private dock, and boat house. We really appreciated and enjoyed the use of the kayaks and canoe and went out every evening for sunset. We also loved the two fire pits and that it was fully stocked with wood when we arrived. Colleen was extremely helpful and thoughtful leading up to and during the trip. She sent me information about a nearby 5k race at Jay Peak, was very accommodating to any questions or requests we had, and checked in on us via phone when we first arrived.

The lake itself is absolutely beautiful. Because it is smaller than some of the bigger New England lakes, it was very warm, probably in the low to mid 70s, allowing for swimming off of the dock and floating dock. The property doesn't look at any other houses because there is a Boy Scout camp on the other side of the lake, which is hidden by trees until you get up closer via boat. This and daily appearances by the neighboring loons made it a very peaceful place to read, nap, and relax.

In reading through the guest book you can see that a lot of visitors are repeats from years before, and after staying there, you can see why. I would highly recommend staying here!

Splendid Craftsman-style house on secluded lake.

  • 5 of 5

House more spacious than expected from web views and exceeded our family reunion needs (ages 11 to 79). Built with quality/charm on a secluded lake with a boat dock, swimming dock, kayaks, floats, a canoe, and fire pits for s'mores and singing. Many local adventures possible: blueberry picking, Smuggs' ropes course, Johnson Mills Store. Groceries nearby, no problem. We spent most of our time in and on the water and cooking for the whole family gathering. Owner obviously generous and totally available to respond to questions and to offer suggestions re activities. A five-star property. We hope to return for a future reunion.

Family get together!

  • 5 of 5

We all absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home! Our families (from the Chicago and Boston areas) don't get to see each other often, and this was the perfect spot to reconnect. The kids loved swimming and jumping off of the floating dock, and we all made good use of the kayaks daily! At night, we enjoyed s'mores by the fire pits, and star gazing. We enjoyed a few local hikes, a visit to the Alchemist brewery and a trip to Stowe with a wonderful dinner at Harrison's, but we were all perfectly content to come back to this home and spend the majority of our days floating and playing in the lake. Colleen was extremely helpful with all of our questions and the house was fully stocked. (And the bed in the first floor bedroom was the most comfortable I've ever slept in!) We hope to return soon.

Exceptional property. Owner thought of everything needed for amazing stay.

  • 5 of 5

This house is located in a beautiful private spot on the lake. We loved hearing the loons each day and the crickets at night. Water temperature was perfect for swimming. We brought our own motor boat and docked it at the house, but also put their kayaks and canoe to good use. Fire pit and gas grill were used nightly. Meals on amazing deck as sun was setting were perfect. Mostly used large table inside for nightly game play. The kitchen was well stocked with items needed to cook and serve meals. Entire house was clean and comfortable. Colleen, her father, and Cathy are so nice and checked in first day to make sure everything was going well. It was nice to know someone was near if needed. Groceries, restaurants and breweries were within 20 minute drive when we felt like leaving paradise - which wasn't often. It was a fabulous place to celebrate 50th birthday with family. Loved every minute!
