My only complaint about the place was the booking process. The owner and I just weren't able to get each other's e-mails. So, the communication about down payments, arrivals times was somewhat sketchy, but all worked out fine.
Most importantly, the home was perfect for us. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate 3 people cooking at once. The oversized fridge has some condiments that you might not have thought to bring. There were plenty of plates, cups, serving ware. They were short on silverware. We had up to 21 in the house for a few meals, and found ourselves using some plasticware that we bought at the store. The furniture was all quite comfortable, and arranged to facilitate conversation and family gatherings. The sleeping arrangements were awkward in the upstairs master suite, unless you are a family. Guests said that the beds were all comfortable. All the plumbing and appliances were in good working order.
The neighborhood was all upscale, peaceful, beautiful. We tried one of the walking trails. It had been dry, so they were just fine for walking. We were about 7 minutes from downtown - definitely want to drive, unless your biking skills are prepared for the altitude. It's right at 10,000 feet. Every one of us felt the effects.
Nice visit, beautiful home. With a large group, we'd definitely stay there again.
Way more house than the 6 of us needed, but we enjoyed every bit of it. For the money this house cannot be beat. Very close to the "quad" lift, grocery store, and everything else Breckenridge has to offer. GREAT kitchen for the chefs in your group.
3 rd stay- great place for vacation, would recommend for anyone-very nice home
The pictures really don't do the place justice. It's much more beautiful in person. I was pleasantly surprised at how close this place was to town. On a map it looks a lot further away than it is. It's also very conveniently located to the Gondola lot, which is the way to access the base of the Breckenridge ski hill. It's a free gondola ride, so even if you don't ski, you can still go up there and check it out. The view alone is worth the time!
We noticed some lightbulbs burned out when we got there, and 2 of the 4 fireplaces weren't working. The owners were very responsive and got on that right away. It was also discovered a previous renter had messed up the TV remotes. We got it all working, but the owner said he was going to make sure it's dialed in moving forward.
I would highly recommend this place if you need 6 bedrooms. Note that one of the bedrooms is a room off the master, and shares a bathroom with it. At first we thought of this as a disadvantage, but soon realized it was a great way for us to keep track of our son. (You can close the door to that room if you want, it's not just open.)
We had an incredible time! The setup of this house provides plenty of privacy for everyone in a large group. The house is very spacious and gives several areas for different groups to congregate in different spaces for different activities from playing to watching TV to just sitting and chatting. The large kitchen makes preparing meals easy even with several people are working in the same area. We had 12 adults and 10 kids so we ate most meals at the house. It's only a couple of minutes to drive to downtown and easy access to Frisco/Silverthorn and I-70. Thank you so much for such a great place. I was complimented over and over for finding such a perfect place for our large group.
This gorgeous house is located in a great location in Breckenridge, Colorado. Upon arrival we found the weeks before trash had not been removed and the house had not been dusted or floors swept in a long time. The plants in the house are currently wilting away and we were watering them ourselves because we felt bad. The outside lawn and flower garden hadn't been weeded or trimmed in a long time. For the price we paid for the house I expected a better maintenance and upkeep.
