Overview

About the property

3-bedroom Super Cannes Villa, Great Views From All Windows, Near Downtown/beach.

This 3-bedroom bungalow-type villa, recently redecorated, was built with the aim of getting the most pleasure out of fantastic views of the town of Cannes. Large windows in the lounge and main bedrooms, a covered veranda, landscaped paths meandering in mature gardens full of citrus trees, all looking out onto the bay of Cannes, create an atmosphere of relaxation, dangerously leaning towards laziness.

You may end up spending hours just marvelling at the scenery. Yet within 15 minutes you can walk down to the beginning of rue d'Antibes and the Croisette where the celebrities hang out. All around the house a maze of twisty roads go up and down the hills of Cannes going past spectacular houses and properties as seen in the movies.

Whether a family or a bunch of friends on holiday or visitors to any of the Cannes trade fairs, exhibitions or festivals, this villa make your stay in Cannes a happy one.

The main interior features are:

A) two very big bedrooms, one with an antique double bed and exercise bicycle and another bedroom with two single beds. Both bedrooms have huge windows so as to offer a panoramic view of downtown Cannes and coastline. There is also a a third smaller but comfortable single bedroom

B) the spacious lounge/sitting room, simple but elegant, that leads out to a covered veranda where the best views can be enjoyed. There is a a double sofa-bed in the lounge so the house can easily sleep 7 people. There is a master bathroom/shower/wc as well as a second wc. The kitchen has all the amenities to prepare and serve the most complex of meals.

The entrance to the property is a large cast-iron gate that can be locked at nights for extra security. Inside the gate is a parking pool for 2 cars. The main feature of the property is undoubtedly the garden with lemon and mandarin trees, palm trees and other mature trees.

Pretty landscaped paths encourage you to take walks round the garden.

A covered veranda to the side of the house with old-fashioned white-painted wicker armchairs is the best spot to sit and enjoy the spectacular, unparalleled view of Cannes.

About Aris Sacorafos

I am a semi-retired entrepreneur in my late 50's having spent many years in the television broadcasting industry. I now find myself happily renting my holiday homes which I have either bought or inherited and subsequently renovated. Other than Cannes I have properties in Crete, Andros (Cyclades island) and Cyprus.

Aris Sacorafos purchased this villa in 1960

Why Aris Sacorafos chose Californie Pézou

This house belonged to my great uncle who used to live in Cannes. He named it after his wife Marika who was my godmother so I feel a very special fondness for it. I am now managing the property and I have tried to maintain as many as possible of its original 60's features that I believe give the property a unique, authentic atmosphere.

What makes this villa unique

Undoubtedly, the scenery is as unique as it can get. I challenge you to find better views of Cannes from any other property. You can see all the way down into town, the port, the Palais des Festivals, the whole bay of Cannes.

A Little Gem In The Hills Overlooking Cannes

  • 5 of 5

We loved Villa Marika - it was a little, unpretentious, slightly old-fashioned, but oh so comfortable gem in the hills overlooking Cannes - a view to die for both in the daytime and the evenings. It was very well equipped everywhere including the kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. Good parking right at the front of the house and once the gates were closed you felt very safe. Just a ride down the hill and you were in Cannes so a wonderful location in terms of views and proximity to Cannes. Aris was a wonderful communicator and provided customer service over and above the norm. For the average Brit used to much cooler weather some air-conditioning would be appreciated but other than that don't hesitate to book this lovely villa. Highly recommended.

Stunning views of Cannes

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful part of the South of France. The views are breathtaking, the villa was lovely and clean, the beds comfortable and Naji and Monika (caretakers) were friendly and helpful. The villa has a 1960s feel about it, quite nostalgic and it was a delight to see lemons growing right outside our bedroom window! We all enjoyed our holiday very much. Thank you Aris for your kind and generous consideration, we would definitely come again.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region

Perhaps the most prestigious and well-known holiday area for the last couple of centuries of the whole of Europe. The coast is better known as the 'Riviera' and spans all the way from St Tropez to the West to past Porto Fino in Italy to the East.

In between the city of Nice and the Principality of Monaco add their own glamour to the area. This is the Mediterranean so you know the sea is blue the climate is warm and the food is wonderful. Last but not least the scenery is breath-taking at all seasons.

Cannes

Best known for its Film Festival and for the celebrities that walk up and down La Croisette (Cannes sandy beach sea front). Cannes has a lot more to offer. Rue d' Antibes that runs practically parallel to La Croisette is one of the most fashionable shopping streets in Europe.

Cannes casinos are only just second to Monaco in terms of familiarity. Most importantly, Cannes is the perfect launching pad for exploring the interior of the Alpes-Maritimes, where road trips, bicycle rides and walks taking in castles, villages, canyons, rivers, mountains and generally discovering the countryside is a pastime that requires repeated visits to the area before one can claim justice is done.
