We call our home Serenity by the Sea. Serenity is located in the beautiful gated community of Nantucket Shores in Pacific City, Oregon. Nantucket Shores sits above the ocean and has spectacular ocean and mountain views.
Our goal with Serenity is to provide you with an atmospheric experience you will savor, remember with delight, and want to recreate over and over through the years. The spaciousness, unique design of each room, special lighting, dimmers, tile and granite, candles, rain shower in the master bedroom, and other amenities are all designed to give you peace, serenity, and enjoyment.
Serenity is ideal for couple get aways, time away with special friends, family vacations and reunions, retreats, conferences and honeymoons.
We come from a family of hard workers. Farming, gas station ownership, real estate people, landlords, carpenters, owners of home rentals. I (Patty) was a stewardess for United Airlines, a real estate agent and a full time mother and wife. My husband Phil was a pastor for 25 years.
After selling a small rental and home we decided to build a beach rental, something we could enjoy and also rent out.
We put our hearts and hard work into it. Our son, a general carpenter at that time did the building.
Our family has a special love of atmosphere. I attended a class by a lighting store on how to use light and dimmers to add to any atmosphere . We incorporated what I learned and did the best we could to add to the general feeling of space, peace and total relaxation.
At Serenity, all 5 bedrooms are unique. Dim the lights, look around at the details.
Even noise is important to me. We do not have an ice maker in the freezer. The noise of the ice maker is JUST not worth the ice. We have ice cube trays available.
Patty DiGregorio purchased this house in 2008
Nantucket Shores is without question the most beautiful gated community in Pacific City. We are close to two beaches you can walk to in about 10 minutes. You can drive
to the Pelican Brew Pub and beach, just 2 miles down the road.
No home in Nantucket Shores has sold for less $500,000 and many are worth much more.
Sit on the decks at night and look at the stars. Listen to the many birds, during the day. Walk and enjoy nature, you may see deer. Listen to the quiet.
Drive to Lincoln City or Tillamook just 30 minutes away. Do all the city things, the discount mall, gambling, Tillamook Cheese Factory, fish, watch the surfers enjoy the beaches and come back to peace and quiet.
Thank you Phil and Patty for sharing your lovely Beach House. We had a very fun, refreshing weekend get-a-way with our daughters and sons-in-law. We enjoyed the fireplace warmth while the wind and rain pelted the windows!
Our family of 5 spent a wonderful one-week vacation at Serenity by the Sea. The house is glorious with lots of space (indoor and outdoor), well appointed and supplied (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room), and beautifully located on a small hill in a small gated community.
It is a two-story house. The first floor has 3 bedrooms and a game/TV/bar room, the top floor is the living space with a large kitchen and two bedrooms (including the master suite) as well as direct access to the garage. Clearly, the house is large enough for two families. Lots of balconies on both floors with lounging chairs. The lower floor is well isolated and young adults can continue to party while little kids can sleep on the main (top) floor.
A car is needed to travel around but the beach is within walking distance and walking trails run by the house itself.
The owner was wonderful!
Had a wonderful stay at Serenity by the Sea. Family of 9 adults, 2 kids. Lots of room for all, spent most of the time together on the spacious upper floor . All beds were very comfortable, enough bathrooms to accommodate all. Beautiful view from the upper floor we were able to see whale pods go through. Thank you Patty for the stay in your beautiful home.
We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at this home and had a wonderful time. We were greeted with a nice bottle of wine and kitchen stocked full of anything we needed to help make cooking a Thanksgiving dinner easy. The owner was very easy to access when we had a question about getting into the home. The location is perfect -- it was very quiet in November/early December and waking up to watch the sunrise from one of the many balconies was a bonus. All of the bedrooms were equipped with comfortable beds and the number of bathrooms was perfect for our group of 8. Having a separate living space in the basement was great, as well. We would all recommend this house for anyone wanting to stay on the Oregon Coast! Completely agree with the other reviewers... the photos of the home don't do it justice!
The pictures don't do this place justice. That's not a knock on the photos, it's just that nice. I expected the master suite to be nice, which it was, but was really blown away by the other bedrooms. My guests on the twin beds noted how comfortable the beds were and I couldn't believe how large the queen sized bedrooms were. There are tons of cool features that I must have missed in the description like the stereo that plays throughout the entire house. I could go on and on, but you just need to experience it yourself.
My family and our friends stayed together at the house, the atmosphere and space was great for both the adults and kids! Televisions both upstairs and downstairs entertained the kids in the evening and everyone enjoyed the rec room pool table. About a five-minute drive from the Cape Kiwanda beach access, the location of the house is perfect for all kinds of recreation from climbing sand dunes to renting ATVs all within a reasonable distance. The owner was also very friendly and easy to reach, all around a wonderful place to stay.
Perfect for large group, had 23 for dinner and 50th birthday party, everyone felt very comfortable. We became the go to house. Very relaxing. Pool was enjoyed by all. The beds were awesome, so comfortable, hated to get up, lol.thank you for having us🌹🌹
