Pool / Spa
The home is beautiful, excellent location, we went swimming and kayaking. It was excellent.
Lovely and relaxing
The property was in a beautiful spot and we so enjoyed the mountain views from the deck and the serenity of the place. So quiet! At night the stars were amazing. Our grandkids had never seen so many stars! The swimming hole also was a big favorite and a really unique experience. Hard to beat rock climbing, swimming and waterfalls all in one! We also enjoyed the lake and the pool. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. No problem with WiFi or tv viewing. We really enjoyed our stay, and there is certainly plenty to do in the Lincoln area. We hiked, shopped, went on a moose tour, and took the kids to Clark’s trading Post. We hope to go back soon!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. You are so right - there is so much to do in the area, especially with kids (or grandkids in our case), and it sounds like you guys took full advantage of what the area has to offer. Sounds like you had a good mix of the tourist type stuff as well as just enjoying the spectacular outdoor offerings. The swimming hole is one of our favorite places on earth! Please do come again. We do love our return renters so much!
Wonderful Log Home for Family Vacation
The Wildcat Cabin was a perfect pick for our family vacation. The view of the White Mountain Forest were beautiful to look it. The cabin had everything to make our stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Washer / dryer were new and was a great plus for a family trip. It was very clean when we arrived and was easy to keep it that way. Owners put a lot of effort to have the home organized so that travelers can just enjoy the stay. Scott was great to work with as we had to change our dates a little. In downtown Woodsville, Slicks Ice Cream was a family favorite! I highly recommend this home.
Thanks so much for such a fantastic review! We hear from a lot of renters that early mornings on the back deck taking in the views while sipping on a cup of coffee is one of the things they love best about the cabin. Slick's is DEFINATELY one of the best things about the area too. Their HUGE ice cream cones are legendary. I personally feel a little ridiculous always ordering a "kiddie" cone, but that is seriously all I can eat. Please know that Wildcat Cabin will be there for another vacation whenever you want. We truly do value our return renters!
Such a beautiful yet cozy house, the location was breathtaking!
Although we were miles away we felt right at home when we walked in. The house had everything we needed with so much space. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for our meals! The grill on the deck was a major bonus. The kids loved the huge backyard, we played outdoor games and had a bonfire with s’mores. And at night we played many board and card games just enjoying each other’s company. Such a great place to get away! We stayed for three days and when it was time to leave everyone was sad because we all wanted to stay more! Thank you Scott for sharing your house with us and being so kind!
So glad to hear that your family enjoyed your stay at Wildcat Cabin! Our kids and now our grandkids love the yard as well and we have many fond memories of frisbee, softball, slip and slides etc., etc. in that yard. Nice to hear that you will have fond memories of this as well. I know you travelled a far distance to get you our White Mountains, but please know that you’ve always got a place waiting for you if you want to return. There is so much more for you guys to do in the area ((because there is absolutely no way to experience all that the White Mountains has to give in just three days) and of course, there is nothing that we enjoy more than our return renters!
The getaway you have been looking for!
I think this was our third time to the cabin, and it has never disappointing. Everything your looking for, and more. So much to do just at the house, so much land for the kids to play on, and so many amenities and attractions close by. Cannot wait to spend more time at the Wildcat Cabin!
Our family really enjoyed the Wildcat Cabin property!
The Wildcat Cabin was a hit for our family during our 3 day weekend stay this past February, 2018! It is a log cabin which has the warm & cozy atmosphere our family loves and it accommodated our family when it came to sleeping! We all enjoyed the stone fireplace and the warmth and the open concept kitchen and livingroom allowed us to all be together for eating and relaxing fun! The basement was a hit for our children and our young grandchildren, to enjoy either ping pong, air hockey or movies! The owner is very pleasant to talk to and his instructions make it easy to settle in and depart as well! The cabin is about 30-40 minutes from Lincoln which was where we wanted to visit the Ice Castles and spend a little time in the town! There are a few ski mountains about 30-40 minutes from the cabin! We enjoyed the little corner store not far from the cabin! It’s a beautiful area and the ride to wherever you want to go is so pretty..views of the mountains! We are from Maine and drove to the cabin in a snow storm and ironically also drove back home in a heavier snow storm but we decided to come back home on the Kancamagus Highway which is beautiful but in a snow storm you need to go slow which was fine by me! We really enjoy backroads when traveling and especially when going to the white mountain region! We all enjoyed the Wildcat Cabin and it is reasonably priced for a family..I’m sure it is great in the summer too!
The perfect fall getaway--enjoy breath-taking foliage from the comfortable back deck. The surrounding region includes numerous hiking trails, lakes, rivers, ponds, waterfalls, streams, and mountains. Close to Kancamagus Highway, golfing, and apple picking. Nearby tourist attractions include Lost River Gorge, Clarke's Trading Post, Loon and Cannon Mountains and Whale's Tale Water Park. Snowmobile trails abound. The Mountain Lakes Recreational Center has lifeguards on duty at the beach and planned activities for both children and adults. Covered bridges, restaurants, and shopping are all nearby.
Other Activities: hiking, canoeing, snowmobiling
