Throughout the summer months there are daily 'festas' held in the many small villages in the area with speciality food and drink e.g. Traditional Tuscan specialities ranging from trout, steak, pasta, cheese, funghi (mushrooms) and a German Beer Festival all with dancing to music. Here and at many other festa's you can eat and drink to your heart's content for a minimal amount. A truly memorable way to experience the real heart of Tuscany and its friendly people and cultures.

The Golf Club Garfagnana (approx. 10 minute drive away) is set in stunning grounds in the pretty little hamlet of Bosco and is affiliated to the Italian Golf Federation. The short 6 hole course also has a driving range, a practice green and a characteristic Club House.

The gentle undulating landscape, located in the beautiful Garfagnana valley overlooking the high peaks of the Apuan moutain range, has permitted the projection of the course without altering the environment, giving shape to 6 interesting and enjoyable holes.

All visitors are welcome.

Villa Adicon

VILLA ADICON

This villa located near Castiglione di Garfagnana is state of the art The owners have done a brilliant job of decorating the house. I felt comfortable in my bed next to double doors which lead to a balcony, the view is breathtaking both day and night. I enjoyed having our own pool. The restaurant at the end of the road had great pizza and incredible pasta. Overall I would Definitely recommend Villa Adicon

Lovely spacious villa, our welcome to the villa by ilaria was fantastic, could not have been more helpful. Castiglione was a lovely villa and had more there than anticipated. We had a fantastic holiday and the view from the villa was much missed!

lovely villa with superb views

  • 5 of 5

Very well appointed villa with great views over the fantastic Garfagnana region. Short walk to lovely little town of Castiglione. We had a day in Lucca by train - well worth the trip. Other than that most days were spent exploring smaller villages and enjoying great food.

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

Very well appointed villa with plenty of room and in an excellent location to discover the area. Great views from the villa, especially in the early morning or late evening. The pool is a bit small but at least it warms up quicker than most - and is cleaned once a week.

A very enjoyable two weeks.

Stunningly picturesque location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for a week with family and friends. Was booked as a relaxing break to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and that is exactly what this delivered. Situated high up looking down on the beautiful village of castiglione di garfagnana, every morning waking to the bells ringing in the village and seeing the mountains from our balcony was breathtaking. The villa was very well equipped for cooking and eating and the pool /outside eating area was a firm favourite with all the group! Our host was extremely helpful and easily contactable throughout the trip if we had any questions. Highly recommended, cannot wait to book again and revisit in the very near future!

Beautiful Villa with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

The Villa was very tastefully decorated and was very well equipped. We were a group of 4 Ladies. We each had a very spacious bedroom. We had very hot weather and really appreciated the pool and the pool area which has a great mix of sun and shade. We ate in the local restaurant (5 min walk) and shopped locally as well. Would definitely go again. It is a great base for touring around Tuscany.
