The home is absolutely amazing, and bill was fantastic. Eight people fit comfortably and the kitchen is amazing for entertaining. We just hung by the pool all day and loved it. The location is great, close to park and casino.
My family (ranging in age from 45 to 96) stayed here for 6 days. The occasion was our mom's 95th birthday and we enjoyed each and every one of the amenities offered. Although it was cool during the day and cold (well, for SoCal) at maybe 50ish degrees, we loved sitting around the fire pit in the evening with our glasses of wine, reviewing the day and what was coming up the next day. My sister, son and I especially loved the spa both daytime and nighttime, heavenly. There was enough space for "down time" for each of us as well. The decor was both modern and mid-century modern. By the way loved the painting in the blue room! So sad this beautiful home is on the market but maybe it won't sell fast (OK, OK Bill and Matt, selfish I know but I can't help it). And speaking of Bill and Matt, they helped make the stay so easy and met our son there before the rest of us got there to go over all the details of the house. The information book they've put together allowed us to just drive around the area spotting all the movie stars homes which made for a great, easy day. Fascinating to see some of these estates. In fact just two houses down was the home of Kenny Irwin, Jr. with all the holiday decor on display. Check him out online. That was also an extra special treat to take a tour of the property. You just can't go wrong with this home. A huge thanks to Bill and Matt for letting us share in their home.
We stayed for a month and wish it could have been two. A gem of a house architecturally and so tastefully decorated/furnished. Art work and midcentury mementos. Open plan - spacious with high ceilings. Comfortable beds, nice linens. Master bath is a dream. Other baths equally nice/unique. Indoors flows to outdoors and we usually ate outside on the covered lanai. Great mountain view. Back yard is big, green and great. Three fruit trees, one with huge lemons. Great pool. Wonderful lighting at night. One bedroom became a temporary office with desk and printer. Our guests loved the bungalow - cozy and private. Our dog was in heaven - high wall all round the yard and she alternated between sun and the shade which the really large overhang provides. Our hosts were most cordial and especially responsive. Quiet neighborhood, great for walking. Can't say enough good things about the place and our stay. We hope to be back numerous times. Thank you, Matt and Bill.
We rented this VRBO for the entire month of April/2014, and it could not have been more perfect. Matt and Bill were AMAZING to work with and if we had any questions they were calling you back within 1 hour, not that we had ANY issues. Bill greeted us upon our arrival and let me be clear on this point, the pictures don't do this house justice, he had all the glass walls opened up with the view to the pool and most beautiful backyard I've ever stayed in, it is amazing. We spent about 90% of our time outside. The inside was as fabulous with the most beautiful art EVER in a vacation home. This is def. Not your cookie cutter VRBO it is filled with period items from the era of Palm Springs, the neighborhood was great for walks in the evening or walking into town. At the end of our month, def did not want to leave. The kitchen has everything you could need. We had some family come see us for one week and the house fit everyone perfect. Matt and Bill left us a lovely welcome gift, and went above and beyond to make our month a most special one. They are lovely and created a lovely home for us lucky enough to get to dwell there. Thank YOU!!! Bill and Matt
We had a great time here at the end of March 2014. Bill and Matt were very accommodating in meeting us at the appointed time, explaining all features, and dealing with minor issues that arose during our week's stay. The home has a great many amenities, a very private yard and pool, and a great location! They also handled all aspects of the contract in a 100% professional manner.
For my friend's 40th birthday our group decided we wanted to celebrate in style. I'm so happy we came across Bill & Matt's beautiful property. Bill & Matt are wonderful hosts and really go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Bill met us at the house to give us a tour and show us how everything works. He even provided a gift basket and fresh flowers! Our group agreed that the online pictures do not do it justice. We felt it's a lot more impressive in person. The house has a nice open feel to it and a great flow. The entire stay really exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful pool, the tasteful decorations and (our favorite) the outdoor fire pit - there really wasn't anything lacking.
The house is conveniently located near downtown palm springs in a nice quiet neighborhood. When we usually visit Palm Springs we hang out a lot downtown but for this trip we rarely left the house because it was such a treat being there. We would leave only for brief trips to the store but that was basically it. We had a total of 8 people staying and there was plenty of room for all of us. We spent a lot of the time lounging around the beautiful pool and laying out in the sun. The house exudes a nice calming feel. It's impossible not to relax there!
If you are thinking of staying here do not hesitate. The house is beautiful and Bill & Matt are really great hosts. We hope to be back some day!
