We loved the beautiful patio, breakfast in the sunshine and birds chirping! The comfy couch and chairs in the living room were awesome after a long day. We wish we could have stayed longer and will do that next time we come to beautiful Sedona.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The house is nice and has had quite a few recent updates although it is not a new house. The kitchen is fresh and the master bath is recently remodeled with a large walk-in shower, there is no bathtub in the house (which the wife prefers). The balconies are beautiful and look out on the golf course then out the front there's a beautiful red rock spire. Televisions are dated however we seldom watched them anyway.
The issues unfortunately outweighed all of this.
The first issue was that the DSL was off. Owner expected me to deal with Centurylink he even puts the number on the paperwork. It was eventually turned on although he did have to contact Centurylink of course.
Major issue was that the air conditioning was out. By the time I had determined that contact with the owner was a chore as he does not answer his phone forcing you to leave a message and to wait on him to get back to you. Emails are answered but sometimes not until the next day.
Long story short we had to take time from our vacation to wait for his repairman only to be told that the blower was out and had to be ordered. The part never came in by the time we had left.
The coolest the house got was 81 degrees meaning sleep was pretty much impossible. The wife watched the sun come up multiple times and the earliest I got to sleep was 2:00 AM.
Owner offered no recompense what so ever. When we requested return of one day's rental (very reasonable we thought) he refused. Am taking it to HomeAway/VRBO now.
What an unbelievable home away from home! We walked in the front door and our jaws dropped. The place is beautiful: tastefully decorated, immaculately maintained, spacious. There were plenty of places to eat, relax or hang out, indoors and out, and as others have mentioned, the most amazing patio and views. The kitchen was enormous and would have been great for gourmet meals - if we had the time or energy! We were out most of the time, as we were situated so close to the major rock formations and hiking trails, and conveniently close (but not too close) to the shops and restaurants of Uptown and West Sedona. The Grand Canyon is just a couple of hours away. Had we been less inclined to explore everything we could in the area, I would have been happy to relax and watch the world go by, so this place is perfect for the active vacationer as well as the person looking for a quiet and luxuriously comfortable retreat. Mark and Debi's lovely vacation home is a destination in itself. If you need anything, Mark is easily reached and responds quickly and making the reservation was a breeze. We'll plan ahead on our next trip to make sure we can stay here.
By the way, If you like Navajo jewelry, admire it in the Uptown stores, then go to the Navajo market outdoors next to the Dairy Queen, where you can buy beautiful authentic pieces from the artists themselves (often for half or less of the uptown retailers). If you like Italian and new Italian food, we highly recommend Picazzo's. They have many gluten-free, vegan and allergy-safe options should you need them and the food and service was fabulous.
We arrived and were just amazed at this property. It was clean and just what we needed for a week of relaxing in the Sedona area. This house has one of the greatest patio's you could ever ask for and an enjoyable view of the golf course and plenty of room to just sit and relax and enjoy the surroundings. It is also centrally located for the area just a short distance to just about anything you want in north central AZ.
Thanks so much Mark and Debi for allowing us to enjoy your lovely home.
As part of our one month Wisconsin to Arizona, Nevada and Utah tour we spent 10 days in Mark and Debi's Sedona golf course home. This home was all that we could possibly hope for. It is beautiful , convenient and perfectly located for any activity. It's location on the golf course has an excellent view of the 2nd green and the 3rd tee. There are 3 patio areas along with a grill, lounge chairs and table. The modern interior includes 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with showers. The kitchen is top notch in all ways. Both living and family rooms are large, comfortable and have TVs. The family room has a fireplace. The laundry room is convenient and includes the latest washer/dryer. A view from the front includes one of the famous red rocks and from the back overlooks the golf course. Mark and Debi were easy to work with and made everything enjoyable. The Sedona area is everything it is hyped up to be. The home's location is literally minutes to downtown or to the Red Rock Scenic Byway and a few miles to uptown Sedona. We did all of the touristy things and included a day trip to the Grand Canyon. I took so many pictures I may have to buy a new camera. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting to visit the area and are sure that it will be enjoyed as much as we did. Dee and Mike
This house is phenomenal! Pictures don't do it justice! Absolutely beautiful views both front and back of the house. My husband and I were looking for a place with a view that would be very relaxing and we found a gem. Loved watching the golfers from the spacious observation deck. Not far from downtown Sedona, Tlaquepaque, Holy Cross Chapel and too many other sites to mention. Mark and Debi were so easy to work with and we thank you for sharing this lovely home.
The property was very nice, great location and view of golf course. Unfortunately there was intermittent hot water for showers in master bedroom and only cold water available in the other bedroom. Ran water for 15 mins. In second bedroom shower and gave up. When we notified the owner his ridicules respond was to turn faucet all the way to the left!! Guess he thought we never had indoor plumbing. When running hot water in master bath, advise other guest not to use any other fixture in house otherwise you get a cold shower. Owner was not responsive to the problem, only after we left a plumber came to house. Oh and make sure you bring your own toilet paper, there was only partial rolls at dispenser, no extra!
